I read the reviews, but I've learned to ignore them; these scissors fit my hands perfectly, are well balanced, and are simple to use. Nothing was strewn about, nothing had fallen out, and nothing had been broken. They're sharp, but I didn't manage to sever any appendages while using them. They are packaged in a stylish and well-made case. If you need to shave your beard or any other hair, these should suffice.

Is there any way to ensure quality? What I didn't care for - Because the scissor was not drilled and tapped properly for that size thread on the brass thumb rest, the brass thumb rest fell out

What I like - They cut well and are easy to maneuver, so I kept them, but I was disappointed in the thumb rest; if it had been done correctly, these scissors would have received a five-star rating.
