How well does it lift the color of dark, dark brown hair to a light brown by any chance?

Yes, I agree. After using conditioner to dilute to 30 volume, it blotched and yellowed my hair even after I diluted it to 30 volume.

Are there any other developers I need to mix with this one? When I tried it, my black hair didn't seem to respond to it in the least. ?

A developer is added to the color product to activate it so it can be used as a hair color. Unlike standalone products, it is used in conjunction with other products.

What is this stuff made of? Is it hydrogen peroxide?

Can I use this on colored plastics to remove yellowing and will it bleach out the color as well?

The 40 developer is a strong bleach, so in my opinion, it would remove the yellow from your project, but if I were you, I would try a lower volume such as the 20 developer and do a test run.

A sole with unyellow pigment

You can use it to get rid of yellow stains on your shoes' soles. With the UV light method, I did it just once and this is what I got. If I did it twice, there shouldn't be any difference. I would say this product is very good. If you repeat it three more times it would be completely white.

Plastic that's yellowed can be whitened with this My early 90s Super Nintendo and a Sony radio that I recently got were among the devices that I used this on. In order to brighten up the yellowed area, I applied a thin layer of clay with a brush and wrapped the item in saran wrap, then let it sit Two days later, I washed off the creme and both items looked almost as good as they did when they were initially.

This product works so well, I accidentally bleached my arm hair while using it. To make the yellowed plastics on my travel trailer white again, I used this product. This crap was stuck to my arm and I wasn't aware of it. After I discovered I had an arm that was bleached, I was shocked.
