In 2017, Grecian Formula replaced their original formula on what they have dropped There is no longer any effectiveness with the Grecian Formula.
Now that you have it, you can use it. You have just to be aware that the new formula (without lead acetate) is a very, very gradual transition. When you were using a product that was effective like Grecian formula, but now it cannot be used, and, as others have said, it now smells like pure rubbing alcohol, it is a tremendous disappointment. for your recommendations for products I can try instead of Grecian formula, fellow customers. It's a terrible shame that I have to stop using one of my favorite products for the past 20 years because they ruined the product probably because their liberal ideology ruined it.
Grecian Formula has worked for me on and off for 15+ years and I was totally pleased Due to lead acetate being banned in the US, the original formula included lead acetate and performed magnificently. The new formulation, however, does not contain lead acetate and as a result Grecian Formula was put on hold as a result of my complaint. Over the course of one month, I followed their instructions religiously. This did not work for me. My understanding is that Grecian Formula is sold with false promises and its effects on changing the hair color are insubstantial. My perception of them is that they are crooks.
There is no way to solve this problem with the new formula. A dark residue is left on the hands and clothes after it. It smells like rubbing alcohol. Grecian is not going to be purchased anymore and I would like to find an alternative. I am VERY disappointed in the new formula and would like to see it brought back!.
It was all found to be useless after I used the first bottle. Other users have also noticed this. colossal waste of time and money. The new formula is a dump. I liked the old formula far better.
Saving money is easy when you know where to look As the product no longer works due to the removal of lead acetate, the product no longer works.
Grecian formula contained in the bottle we received did not match what we ordered. Looks like what you'd buy at the store in terms of packaging and bottle. A definite plus is the lack of smell and the need to shake up the colorant. There is a distinct smell to Grecian. A foamy substance appeared in the bottle after my husband shook it. A probe has been launched by Amazon. It is a very helpful company. Does it require special handling so it cannot be returned as stated?.
There is a strange smell to it at first, but once you get over that you'll notice it kind of smells like. . . There is an almost complete work. I mostly have black hair (except for the white tips). There is a silvery/gray tinge to my skin A week or two after I start using the stuff, I start noticing a sickly, pale yellowish brown color emerge on the gray. In about two weeks, it loses its natural color and becomes It's kind of like that. The stuff isn't all that great but I liked it! My sideburns do appear a little less gleaming with this shade of gray, but it does tone down the silver. That's all there is to it. Although I've been using this for years, my hair has never turned black no matter how often I use it. *I'm not sure what it is about my hair type that would be the problem. You are welcome,

There is no success with this new formula that uses isopropyl alcohol. Original formula worked very well and did exactly what it was supposed to, but now it is a waste of money.
