My hair is also thinning and I've been using this product to prevent it. There are also big areas! As an alternative to a brush, I use a round sponge to apply the skin care product. The one I use does not run down your face in the rain and it does stay on throughout the day. I've tried everything else on the market and this is the one I'm most confident with. (If it rains, I don't hesitate to run. 4) Another commenter mentioned that it can be messy around the sink area when applying this product, and when shampooing, it will run onto the shower floor a bit. To properly wash and rinse it out, I suggest using at least a halfway decent shampoo. You might end up with your hair looking and feeling like the Incredible Hulk if you don't thoroughly wash it out. Since I've been trying all sorts of products for so long, I've lost track of them. Almost a decade has passed since I last used this one. My hair is volumized and my scalp doesn't have the infamous "scalp halo" (when your scalp can be seen through your thin hair, especially under overhead lighting). This is one of the very few products that works to conceal my thin hair and volumize it. It adheres to your hair, adding instant volume, mattefying and coloring your scalp to match your hair color while it adheres to your hair. It really looks like I actually have a full head of hair when I'm wearing it! It does not sweat off of you when you use this powder. My word is my bond! It is NOT easy to have this run down your face or flake off during hot and humid weather. I'm a premenopausal woman living in a humid and hot climate and have never experienced this. With all that staying power, it keeps me from washing it as often, yet a single shampoo is enough to remove it. I have also discovered that on my naturally dark brown hair, the color Black is most effective at creating the illusion of thick hair. I consider this to be part of my "Must Have" hair care equipment.

In my experience, I've used this product for many years and compared it against many other products to cover some of my hair loss spots which I have because of a condition I have, and this is by far the best. As I had been looking to replace the expensive Joan Rivers Good Hair Day, I saw that the black was much closer to the product, so I bought it again and was glad I did, this works almost as well and at a much lower price. I purchased the 3-pack. It has deteriorated to the point that the brush is worthless, and the bristles keep shedding. I toss it and use my JR brush instead.
I have been using it for a while. I like how it fills in small areas of thinning skin.
