It's an acrylic tube attached to a base, but that's all it is. We use it to hold up our HUGE, oversized squinchies and it is not heavy or stiff. As long as it is not in the way of being knocked over by little hands or knocked over by small children, it will serve Although I have only used a few of the accessories, I would have liked it to have been a bit sturdier. The hole on the tube for accessories is for extras you never really need, so you will have to dump everything out every time! Although this holder is nice, it is not very functional. There is a middle circle where you can put extra Scrunchies, but then you need to dump it all out to find What I would like was a hole on the bottom where you could look up your hair to pull a ponytail out or scrunchie out. Also, I want to mention this. For scrunchies with regular wraps, it's good, but not for those with long satin.

It took me a whole day to find the holder to fit all 65 pieces of the scrunchies set that my sister in law got my daughter. The first time I examined them, I wasn't sure they would fit, but as you can see from the picture, simply pushed them down on top of each other as tightly as I could, and it fit perfectly!
