These are of excellent quality, with well-functioning spring and closure mechanisms. Although I have thick hair, I believe it would work well with medium hair because it will close tightly on the available volume.
The opening mechanism is located on one of the metal ends underneath the barrette. Simply squeeze the metal part inwards with your fingers on both sides. It only opens from one end of the barrette, so if you try one end and it doesn't work, try the other.
It is available for purchase as a single item.

I recently cut my hair too short to wear the bun that I usually do, so I tried a pony tail, but I couldn't find a pony tail holder that I liked. I had some elastic-type holders on hand. I'm not a fan of how they pull the hair. I had a few barrettes as well, but they were all too heavy and thick for me. Before I came across this one, I looked through hundreds of different holders and barrettes. It appeared to be the ideal answer to my problem. br>br>This barrette is perfect in every way! The lovely pink color I chose is one of my favorites. Its length and thinness appeal to me. It's especially light and airy for me! It looks and feels fantastic in my hair. It does not pull at all and remains in place throughout the day. It's incredibly simple to put on and remove. There was no effort. The clasp at the end is excellent. The barrette appears to be of excellent quality. I'm thrilled I came across it.
I was very concerned about Barrette being packaged beautifully and thrown in an empty box with no packing material when I received it so quickly, so thank you. That said, it arrived in excellent condition and is even more lovely than I had anticipated. Having never owned a French Barrette before, I could tell it was in a class by itself. I'll be purchasing more in the near future. My hair is long, fine, and thinning, and it is the delight of my heart. It's very elegant. Thank you once again. br>Update: Since I arrived, I've used and lived with my clip. I was expecting a tough brushing today. Not only did the clip come out without snags after a few days in my hair, but it also brushed out beautifully shiny and non-brittle in the back, eliminating the need for a silk pillow. These are exactly what I require. br>Update number two: It seems absurd to buy multiple items and not be able to leave feedback on each one. Amazon appears to be the source of the problem. br>I had to give both of my Amie long skinny barrettes to my Daughter, and it was a difficult decision. She had cut her long hair to an unsuitable length for a full-time college student, and she was astounded when I was able to pull her hair up in seconds and make it look very pretty. There is no better way to spend money than on a great French Barrett, and I will gladly purchase more in the near future!.
I've never had a better barrette! I've always wanted a barrette that would not only stay put, but would also be long enough to allow my hair to hang looser on the sides and appear as if I had my hair open. My hair looks better open, but I don't like it when it falls forward, and it also doesn't stay in place when I put it up. Even though I think it's a little pricey for such a small item, it's the ideal barrette, so if you're looking for one that doesn't slip down, THIS IS THE ONE!.
I bought three of them in various colors. They seemed to be precisely what I was looking for. The quality is extremely poor. Two of the three I tried. I didn't bother with the third, even though it looked nice - The first one's bracket broke apart when I tried to close it for the first time, and the second one broke when I tried to open it for the first time; a complete waste of money!.
As a grown-up, I stumbled across large French barrettes. For when I'm at work, I don't want to wear scrunchies. I have long, thick, wavy hair, and this barrette does an excellent job of keeping it all in place. a streamlined ponytail, or swept up in a relaxed bun There's no pinching or snagging, and it's extremely comfortable. This barrette appears to be well-made, with an intriguing and elegant design. I strongly advise you to read this book.
It's lovely and delicate, but it can't hold all of your hair in place. I should have gotten a barrette for my thick hair, but I didn't think I had thick hair to begin with. It's quite lovely, and I'm still wearing it in various hairstyles.
It seems well made and sturdy and the clip can hold my hair for hours. I have 70% gray/white hair and this barrette looks very pretty with it. I have 70% gray My hair is not pulled or caught by it.
These barrettes have become an addiction for me! br>Despite the fact that it is thin- It's long enough for my thick hair to be held in place.
