I wish I had heeded the advice of another reviewer who stated that this pillow case is unusable after the first wash. I purposefully ordered one pillow case rather than two so that I wouldn't end up wasting twice as much money if my pillow case was damaged after the first wash. I used a mild detergent, gentle cycle, cold water, and line drying, as directed by the manufacturer. I even don't have an agitator because I have a front-loading washer. I also placed it in a delicates bag, but it still did not come out silky like it did when I first received it. The pillowcase has a faintly silky feel to it. This is not a cheap pillow case, and I'm disappointed that I wasted my money on it. After doing some research on other silk pillowcases, I discovered that this one had some of the highest ratings, and I liked that it was zippered, 25 Momme, and natural in color. I'm curious if steam cleaning this pillow case would make it as silky as it was when I first received it; the pillow case came in a nice box with a handwritten note, but that doesn't matter if the product is ruined after one wash and following the manufacturer's instructions.

This pillowcase, as well as another, more expensive one, were purchased from Sephora. The pillowcases were all given the same score. Until I washed them, I gave them 5 stars for smoothness, sheen, comfort, and so on. Both garments were washed in the machine and dried on the line. Both of their brows creased to a similar degree. The Sephora case feels silky even if it isn't ironed. This is not the case in the Celestial case. It has also lost some of its luster and feels rough on my skin. I'll have to iron the Celestial case to see if it regains its sheen and smoothness. Celestial, on the other hand, offers a zipper case, which I prefer. br>br>The Sephora case's satin weave is likely to have a longer float than the Celestial case's. As a result, it doesn't need to be ironed to feel smooth and silky. There is a significant price difference between the two pillowcases, which is another factor to consider. My cat, for the record, enjoys both! My husband is the same way.

Celestial Silk was kind enough to send me a silk pillowcase. The pillowcase is one of my favorites. I liked how my hair looked when I woke up; it wasn't tangled or messed up in any way. I also liked how my face felt, as it appeared to be much smoother and that some of my moisturizer was still on my skin. My face felt drier when I used the cotton pillowcase, as if the moisturizer had been absorbed by the cotton pillowcase. My pillowcase's zipper malfunctioned about a week ago. I was disappointed, but the silk pillowcase had a nice feel to it. I gave it a two-star rating on Amazon. Soon after, I received an email from Kathleen at Celestial Silk, apologizing for the defective zipper on my pillowcase and offering to replace it. She also included a return postage label in the package. Kathleen also kept me updated on the status of my pillowcase, including when it was being shipped and when it arrived. Celestial Silk provides excellent customer service. If you're looking for a silk pillowcase, this lovely pillowcase will not disappoint, and Celestial Silk will provide excellent customer service if there are any issues with your pillowcase.
