I've been using this product for a long time, but about a year ago, the quality of the product began to deteriorate; I assumed it was a case of counterfeit knockoffs, so I purchased several bottles from various sources, but the quality of ALL of them was inferior. I've reluctantly decided to abandon JOOP in favor of a different brand.
I bought a few bottles and use them on a regular basis; they are not counterfeit; they are genuine.

Be wary of imposters. This product is FREQUENTLY COUNTEREITED due to its high quality and high price. That is why I always purchase it from a reputable retailer such as Amazon, but I've noticed that half of my recent purchases were clearly counterfeit. Probably 60% rubbing alcohol to make the person believe it is perfume, but no fragrance at all in 2010 min. I was more cautious this time because the first screen stated that it was "shipped by Amazon. " " It still had the checkbox and Prime symbol when it was added to the cart, but Tiger Health was listed as the shipping company in small print and buried in an obscure part of the page. I've never purchased anything from Amazon that has been known to be counterfeit. I'll go to Target, WalMart, or Macy's and place an order.
For decades, I've sported Joop. The fragrance has almost always received positive feedback. I've enjoyed smelling myself as well as the people around me. The smaller bottles are what I usually purchase. But I decided to do myself a favor and get a bigger bottle. However, I was surprised to receive a very watered-down version. version that is scaled back I used to be able to spray Joop two or three times a day. However, I've tried spraying myself six times now, and the most recent bottle has no lasting effects. I'm disappointed, and I didn't use it before the return window closed. It's too bad this is a Prime item. It should be phased out until a higher-quality replacement is found.
I'll make an effort to reclaim my funds. Giving this as a gift was certainly humiliating. Save yourself some time and effort.
Purchasing it from a nearby store. Until now, it had never been a problem for me. Joop has always had a strong scent that lingers, but the stuff they sent me DOESN'T! It doesn't have a strong aroma when you first open the bottle, and it doesn't last long. I'm guessing it's all stock that's been sitting around for a while, losing its potency, and then being shipped to unsuspecting customers like myself. I'm never going to order anything similar from Amazon again!.
When I got my Joop, I sprayed it with two sprays! around 3 p. m. Throughout the evening, I was able to smell it. At 10 p. m. that night, I could even smell it on myself. I awoke around 4 a. m. , still smelling it on me, after going to sleep. This stuff smells amazing and lasts a long time, so I'll be wearing it all the time. It's the genuine article.
Horrible sent us a gift and I was so disappointed. I will never buy or recommend this product again.
To me, it appears to be completely legitimate. For me, it has a strong odor that lasts all day. When I get home at 8 p. m. , After ten hours of construction work, I can still smell it as I remove my clothes.
