They are excellent nail buffing blocks, and I would highly recommend them. There are 12 blocks in this set. My nails fit perfectly into the flexible material because it conforms to their shape. I've also used it for my toenails and it is great. I can always take it wherever I go with me in my purse since it is the perfect size. Reviewing the photos will allow you to see the comparison between the before and after shots.
I was unable to distinguish any difference between these and Polar brand buffers in the first few uses. They do not wear even so that they become less abrasive as they wear down, but rather fall apart and leave behind a mess that sticks to your clothes like dandruff on a static charge. It is held on by a thin white film of plastic that is glued to the smooth foam buffer. There are baldish spots of the buffer in the film that are so smooth they make this film impossible to work with. I look at the mess and I can see dead skin cells all over it. It doesn't look nice, especially when everyone is concerned with cleanliness and sanitary issues. I hate it.
The nail buffer is really nice. A pretty good job of smoothing out the edges of the nail is done by the product. Despite being spongy enough to fit under a nail, it isn't brittle. I noticed that the shorter ends are smooth and the longer sides seem to have the same grit. This is actually much more appealing to my child who is sensory sensitive than.
This is so cool! Having been a manicurist for several years, I am always looking for new products to try. There is no doubt that these are sturdy, the grit is excellent, and it buffs nails thoroughly. A grit is found on each side of the buffers. You cannot go wrong with them for that price! There are a good number of blocks included with it. It's an excellent tool for both personal and professional purposes!.
My favorite part about this product is how it came in bundles, and it didn't feel like a cheap product at all. I would recommend this product to anyone as it is reasonably priced for the quality of material you receive.
Other reviews do not seem to be talking about the same thing. I was not able to find a way to make my nails shiny using these. This file works as a file and I was able to get rid of the ridges in my nails with it. Nevertheless, there was not a thing they did to make my nails shine up. All I needed were basic buffers from a drug store. disappointed with the outcome.
As soon as I read Rescue Your Nails, I knew I had to have them. We found it to be a very convenient way to buy bulk food, and if you follow the advice in the book, you can cut them into fourths or thirds, so they'll last a long time. We'll definitely buy them.
For $1, I've bought the same product at the drugstore every time I needed it. Although they are only 99 cents each, they don't last for long, especially when removing gel polish and preparing for next time. As you can see, I have the same cheap block that I bought previously and over-used The blocks are being used, but at this price I can toss the ripped up and over sanded blocks as often as I want.
