It has a lot of weight. However, because it is large and difficult to cut, I would also point out that it is extremely difficult to use. It can be used to cut fingernails, but I have other cutters for that. This is what I wanted for my thick toenails, but it keeps slipping off when I try to cut them. Also, because I'm not very strong (I'm old), it occasionally cuts off at an odd angle or only cuts halfway across before slipping off.
I'm not sure where they're made or who makes them. However, it's a fantastic product that does exactly what it says it will.

My mother told me years ago that as you get older, your toenails go "nuts," and she was right; perhaps it's just in my DNA, but I suspect there are a lot of us. Standard clippers were useless due to the thickness of some of my toenails. These are ideal because they open much wider and sharper than most clippers. Beware - accompanied by a "large bite" If you have "sharp teeth," you may find yourself in more trouble than you anticipated. Years ago, I should have used "Google. " I was sick of buying regular (cheaper) clippers from Walgreens and having them fail miserably. It appears that I am a slow learner. These should be bought. You will not be disappointed.
Unfortunately, I also severed a large chunk of skin from my big toe, which hurt a lot! I've never cut myself before with a nail clipper. It was far too easy to injure myself because this was my first time. I don't recommend these, especially for older people who may struggle to avoid serious injuries.

These clippers have a surprising amount of sharpness. They effortlessly glide over my thick toenails. I would recommend keeping them out of reach of children due to the large opening. They were easily able to cut themselves. I strongly advise you to use them if you handle them with caution!.
Excellent, in my opinion, because it easily cuts thick and curved (abnormally shaped) toenails, is of high quality, and is razor sharp. I wish I had these 20 years ago. Taking care of my feet (toenails) would have saved me a lot of time and frustration. It also works on fingernails. I bought one as a gift for a friend who was equally impressed.

Beautiful clippers in a tin box, with a small black bag and a separate file. This is fantastic. Unlike other clippers, the lever does not move around. My claws were clipped off like a boss by wide jaws that were extremely sharp.
My prayers have been answered. For years, I've had a thick toenail that has refused to be cut by any clipper. A log fell on my foot while I was splitting firewood years ago, injuring my toenail to the point where I lost it until it grew back. When the nail eventually grew back, it was twice as thick as it had been before. For years, I've struggled to find a clipper with a large enough opening to accommodate this problematic nail when trimming it. When I saw this clipper, I knew I had to give it a try. This clipper is absolutely incredible. The door will open to 1/4". This is the only nail clipper I have at the moment. Love it.
