I'm not sure what I'm saying. They have a black paint job. The coating appears to be of high quality.
To be honest, I'm not sure where it's made from, but first and foremost, it's really good. Go to a CVS drug store and price out what they sell; they're not cheap. The reason I bought this one was because I have really thick toes nails, and these nail Clippers are really good because they have a wide opening for cutting thick toes nails with ease. I have no regrets for purchasing these Clippers.
The clip that connects the two handles folds back, allowing the clippers to stay closed. They aren't shut, but they aren't locked.
This is a curved version that is exceptionally well made.

My toenails are funky and thick. This clipper is well-made and of good quality, and it cuts through even the thickest nails without causing any discomfort. I'm only sorry it took so long for me to find a clipper like this. You won't be sorry if you buy these if you have thick toenails that require a quick and precise clip.
Because I have arthritis, it was difficult for me to hold regular nail clippers, and I didn't like the scissors type. These are excellent, with no issues, no hand ache, and a razor-sharp edge. It takes a few fingernails to adjust to the larger opening, but it's not a problem after that. Definitely worth the money; I'm going to get another pair so my wife doesn't get her hands on mine.
A small fingernail clipper and a larger toenail clipper were once standard equipment for all men. They had razor-sharp blades and were extremely effective. You never know what you're going to get these days. It's possible that it's not sufficiently sharp. It's possible that it won't cut straight through. Many men try to do double duty with a fingernail clipper, but it doesn't work very well. Even if you find a good toenail clipper, it will not fit all of your toes. The standard clipper doesn't open wide enough to admit toenails that are thicker or more curved, or especially if you have one toenail that is particularly difficult to clip. This one, on the other hand, does. Simply swing the spring piece around, and the blades will open to a surprising extent. I was, at the very least. Then, like me, you might be surprised at how sharp the blade is, how clean it cuts, and how simple this otherwise nearly impossible task becomes with it. br>br>On top of that, it's black metal and comes in a 4" X 2" black bag. A great gift for any man is a 5" box that can easily be gift wrapped.
These clippers have a huge opening, and they're razor sharp. Because they open much wider than regular clippers, they are a little more difficult to line up than regular clippers. They're so sharp that trying to line them up can cause the blades to snag on the skin. They're big, so there's a lot of mechanical advantage for tough nails, and there's almost no flex, so they cut right away rather than building up energy. Then, as is customary, "snapping. " It is possible to fold the spring in half. While in use, they are held closed by a magnet.
This clipper is well-made, has plenty of leverage, and has razor-sharp cutting edges. br>br>However, exercise extreme caution. It's easy to cut more than you intended (like skin) because of the wide opening and sharp blades.
These are fantastic. I'm confident in my ability to cut them down. I would have bought a saw if these had not worked. No, but seriously, these babies made a huge difference, and I would recommend them to anyone who has unusual nails. Just be careful because the bad boys are a little bigger and sharper than the standard ones. If you're not careful, it might take more than you bargained for.
However, because the jaws lack a mechanism to maintain an initial opening width, it must be handled with caution.
Design that is both functional and attractive. It's difficult to predict where the blade will strike. I seem to get skin a lot more these days. I'm on the lookout for a new one.
