This is fleece. According to the description, this fleece is coral. I have no idea what synthetics are. It is not so much the germs I dislike on carpet that make me dislike it, but the material it is made of actually dries out my feet until they crack in weird places. It's a skin condition similar to You won't get any relief from socks. I really like those slippers because they are well made and can survive a couple of washings, so they are worth the money for me
