I have enjoyed using this manicure/pedicure kit so far. To pedicure my 97-year-old mother's toe nails with this kit was my original purpose for purchasing it. Upon her arrival here 5 years ago, I found her nail beds were totally neglected with her toe nails being completely discolored. There were ingrown nails and thick nails on her big toes, especially those on both sides that dug into the toes. It was painful for her to be cut out, so I tried cutting out the tumors. As soon as I saw this set, I knew I had to give it a shot. I have been able to completely remove the ingrown nails on both her big toes since I got it, without the pain that she had been experiencing. It took me about 30 minutes to get the ingrown nails out on each toe because they were so bad. Toes on her other toes are crooked due to arthritis or possibly lack of maintenance, so nails on those toes need some work in order to grow It has taken me a few times to get them to grow, but I am hoping that after I get them done, they will grow better. It comes with bits that are not suitable for acrylic work, and there is not much choice among the bits available for use in this machine. In the process of spinning the bits, there is enough vibration to make detailed work difficult. Casual work might be possible but not if the bits are vibrated too much. A replacement was ordered, but I discovered it too had the same issues. Apparently, the bits have a magnetic hold in place. On the other hand, they seem to wobble slightly I will return this one as well, as well as the additional bits ordered, as they are only applicable to the machine in question.

I tried using the electric manicure kit for grinding back a thickened toenail and it seemed to work. The reviews about these products made me glad I read them before I purchased anything, and I strongly endorse the statement to only purchase units plugged into the electricity supply and not in battery mode. As you might imagine, using it on yourself is not so easy, and you would be better off getting a friend with the right skills to do it.

A thick fungus has grown under the toenails of my husband. His toes will be useless with this kit. My goal is to return the item. Guess I didn't think I would wait so The attachments on his toes have been tested several more times today. They don't trim them at all. There is something wrong with his toenails.
