The heal does have gel in it. I bought them to help with my heal spurs.
Without a doubt. Mine has been washed a few times. I bought these because I need to moisturize my heels overnight but don't like to sleep in socks. I use my own moisturizer (usually Vaseline) because the gel inside isn't very thick, and I don't feel like I'm wearing socks because my toes aren't covered. They've met my expectations.
I wash mine in the same machine as the rest of my clothes, but I don't dry them in the dryer.

These aren't going to work! They do nothing but make you sweat and temporarily soften your feet from the moisture of your own sweat before returning to normal after an hour or so of not wearing them. I am a licensed cosmologist who performs pedicures, and I would never recommend these to anyone. IN ADDITION, THEY COME IN A CLEAR, BLANK PACKAGE WITHOUT ANY SAFETY INFORMATION! AND THE GEL HAS CHEMICALS IN IT THAT SOAK INTO YOUR SKIN! What toxins are these unlabeled socks putting in your body? Your feet are one of the best ways to enter or exit toxins from the body; what toxins are these unlabeled socks putting in your body? What is the composition of these chemicals? Not safe!.
I have a few pairs of spa socks, but these are the first that I've been able to sleep in without kicking off in the middle of the night because I'm too hot.
