No, after a week, it simply sheds, which is strange but effective.
I've only used it once, but I bought two boxes to get two treatments out of it. How dry your skin is, I believe, would be a factor. My situation isn't too bad, and the first box was extremely helpful.

It took about 5 days for my skin to slough off significantly, but once it did, it worked exactly as it should. It even helped me get rid of my calluses on my heels. Just be ready for a shambles. Soaking my feet on a daily basis aided in the healing process. This is something I'd buy again in a heartbeat.

I followed the directions and soaked my feet in the solution for an hour before rinsing them. In about 6-months, the skin on the bottoms of your feet began to peel. 7 days. During the peeling process, it is critical NOT TO LET THE FEET GET BONE DRY. Apply moisturizer and socks after taking a shower. The only drawback is that it didn't help my heels much.
I saw a review on YouTube and decided to put it to the test on my own feet. This product is significantly more expensive than its competitors, but it performs significantly better and has a pleasant scent rather than the toxic odors of the other nrands I tried. I was about to give up when I took a hot steam bath, which appears to have triggered the peeling process. However, prior to the steam bath, I had noticed my skin drying and cracking, so now that I am peeling, I will repurchase.
