You might be able to fit your hands in if you have small ones. Hot wax was being used prior to each "torture session" during rehab after thumb joint surgery, so I bought this to soothe my sore thumb joint afterward. My hand and wrist joint were too small to be able to fully immerse in the tank, and that is what I wanted This melter did an excellent job of melting wax, but to my taste it was not deep or big enough for my needs.

In both the package and the description, it is stated that liners will be included, yet none were included. As part of the package, liners were supposed to be included, so I purchased this product over another one.

Upon receiving this unit, I expected that it would be the replacement for this unit, but I will need to purchase at least two more wax units to fill I was horrified by how the wax was packed! It was obvious that it had been used. Maybe I will buy directly from Conair instead of Amazon or give Amazon another try on this!.

You need at least four of them to replace all of the wax. One of them is not even close to what is needed for total replacement with just one. Other than that nice scent, hands feel super moisturized afterward.

This is my first paraffin wax heater, so I don't know if it compares to the more expensive models, but it does what I need. For the relief of arthritis pain, I use this product. takes a while for the wax to heat up, but it is effective. Although I have small hands, they fit well into the bowl, but people with larger hands may need to add more wax to make it deeper so their whole hands are covered.
