There is something smelly about it that I don't quite recognize, but it smells clean and fresh. Using the machine is quite simple, even when you don't put all of the wax in, as you can see in the pics. When I first started, I was unsure of how much to invest. Now I know. A lot of things just take a little time to learn. Also, it is hard to do all I feel so soft after my treatment after treating each hand individually. I have to do one hand at a time for this to work. This is definitely a product I would buy.

My favorite thing about getting paraffin done at a salon is that it's so soothing and it usually feels wonderful. My only experience with Conair is from college when I bought one that lasted a while, but this one seems to be well made, and I particularly like the included mitts and plastic bags.
