I am pretty knowledgeable about beauty products in general, too, but I don't have the money to cost to get their nails filled often. In this case, there was definitely a learning curve. First of all, you need only the tiniest bit of polish on your nail, otherwise it will ooze all over your hand. A lot of the colors are translucent, as well. Although I applied the pink first, my natural nails were visible, and I ended up covering it with a coat of paint. There are a lot of people claiming their lamps do not The first time I tried, neither did mine. I was able to fix it by plugging in my charging cable into the wall and using my own cable. I spent HOURS to shape them precisely to my satisfaction, and I was so excited to see how they turned out. Seeing them for the first time right before a vacation was the reason why I wanted them to appear That's all right. I popped off my first nail at the airport the next morning. After that, I kept getting them chipped off one by one. As a result, I only had about 5 nails left when I landed, so I was able to peel off the rest quickly. It took me two more attempts to get the kit to work. It happened again the second time and I wondered if the base caused it to fail. I decided not to use the base then. I don't think that made any difference at all. After the second day of popping, they were gone. On the third and last occasion, I only used them for the length of my nails. My guess would be that they wouldn't be as easy to pop off? This is incorrect. The next day, three of them had fallen off at work, so I peeled them right off, just the way I did the first time. *sigh* I'm so annoyed. In the event of a few days, I might have been able to deal with the complications and time consumption, but for mere weekends, they were impossible. The fact that I didn't spend a lot on it made me even happier that I was not.
This was my first time using poly gel. It was easy to use and I have zero complaints about it. I can't wait to order more of them!.
Despite what may seem to be obvious, it's not so easy. The nails I get tends to look good on maybe 2 out of 5 the others look The process of how to do this well takes a good amount of learning, and not having directions made things even more confusing.

I am extremely disappointed in this product, the lamp does not function, so I have to buy the entire kit separately since the kit is useless without the lamp. I've seen a lot of other customer reviews concerning the crappy lamp, so I hope the problem can be fixed.
