I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing you could just buff it and it'd be fine, similar to aplastic acrylic tips. I've used them for gel polish and they work great.
Although a base and top coat aren't required, they can help gel or nail polish last longer.
You can use a 48 watt gel UV LED nail lamp, Yael.
It should come with one ring holder, so if you didn't get one, please let me know.

Using clear swatches greatly aids in achieving accurate color pigmentation. When I swatch acrylic dip powder, it usually looks a little different. I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that several of the swatches in my first order were fractured or broken. That didn't deter me from placing two more orders, despite the fact that none of the swatches were fractured or broken. These are something I'll keep ordering!.
I'm not a certified nail technician by any stretch of the imagination. I make my own hard gel nails and have all of the necessary supplies, including polish, gems, foils, and chrome powders. When gel polishes don't show the color, however, it's a real pain. So I come across these and decide to make my own swatch for the price. (While working from home, I was on the phone. ) lol ). They are packaged in a zip-top bag. That is all there is to it. There is no foam to protect the shipment in any way. I started by inspecting the items, and three of them were broken. They're the cheapest plastic I've ever seen for injection molding; a water bottle has better plastic. If you drop it on the floor correctly, it will kiss you goodbye. It's very low-cost and thin as a sheet of paper. They should send out more than 50 to account for the ones that break during transport.
I purchased 50 pieces on August 8th and found them to be adequate for my needs. I have over 50 nail polishes, so I reordered the same thing on August 12th after seeing that they were fine. I began painting the new ones right away, intending to arrange them in rainbow order later. I finished everything, it looked good, and I tried to put them in order, but. . . There's a difference in size between them! It's ludicrous in the extreme. What a ripoff! Now I have to go out and buy more and redo some of them to make them all the same size.
I bought these to swatch my nail dip colors, and they worked out perfectly! I used my label maker to label the swatches, and the labels stayed in place perfectly. Because the swatch stick is translucent, I had to do an extra dip, but it turned out beautifully. I've dropped them a couple of times and there have been no cracks or breaks. I'm going to order more!.
The sticks are great, and the key ring is simple to use, but you shouldn't use them if you'll have to clean up afterwards. These are made of ABS or a similar plastic that isn't acetone safe. I did a test first to see how careful I needed to be, and the acetone caused some problems: I soaked a qtip in acetone and rubbed it quickly on half of one nail, as if I were prepping a natural nail for application, and it turned cloudy and soft. These will work fine for you if you can apply polish neatly or clean quickly with little to no acetone. However, if you're having trouble staying on your nails and want crisp edges, I'd recommend switching to a different brand of swatch stick.
I highly recommend them if you use gel or color acrylic.
With these completely clear nails on a stick, I can easily judge the polish's opacity. I've also noticed that because the polishes are all applied on the same base, I can easily see the differences in the finishes. I can also use Sharpie to write down what brands/colors/holo toppers I used on each nail on each handle! Great price, and the ring that holds everything together is one I can open without risking my nails!.
I have regular nail polishes that work well on these, so I used them. I applied a tip coat to them and so far it’s good I numbered the sticks and made a mistake so I decided to clean it off with 100% aceton and it ) I have a video of French manicure nails up and will be posting more about nails in the future.
