Cure the gel for a longer time than the manufacturer recommends for a strong hold. This is an excellent set! It includes a lot for the money; the stones are of good quality, as are the wax pen and brush. The gel glue was simple to use and dried quickly, but it didn't last long. The first photo shows my nails as they were when I first painted them, and the second photo shows the stones falling off only two days later. Everything else is fantastic, but I'm going to have to look for a better gem glue. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I used 120s instead of 60s to cure the glue, and I haven't lost a single gem in a week!.
I really like this set, but I'm not sure why there aren't any reviews. I'm sure I'll place another order.
*UPDATE* I was duped by this product. On the first day of use, I was confident that the glue would hold up to multiple hand washes. However, after only one day of use, this was a complete waste of money. The rhinestones had to be reapplied a few times. I recommend purchasing a UV light to aid in the drying process. It takes an eternity for the glue to dry by air, and it's a pain! The drying time is interminable.
So, in general, I'm happy. The fact that you only get a few gems of each shape disappoints me. For comparison, depending on size, there are approximately six to nine of each, and the glue is extremely small. I included images to assist anyone who is interested in learning more. The gems' quality, on the other hand, has me blown away. I tried to capture the gems' iridescent effect, but the Amazon camera didn't let me do much. Overall, it's a good value for the money.
What a fantastic piece! I like the variety of rhinestones and the sheer quantity of them. The wax stick, as well as the brush that comes with it, are both excellent. I've had these rhinestones on my gel nails for several days now, using the glue that came with them, and they haven't chipped. br>My only gripe is that there are no instructions included. Although there are numerous ways to apply the glue/rhinestones, it was surprising that the box did not include a curing time guide, tips, or anything else. br>I discovered some fantastic YouTube videos that demonstrated how to apply the product in a variety of ways for a long-lasting manicure. Here's what I did in the end:
1. As usual, prepare and apply your gel polish. Wipe off any excess paint and don't use a top coat.
2. Apply a moderately thick layer of gel glue to the entire nail, not just the area where the crystal will be placed. Cure should be avoided.
3. Apply the gel top coat over the top as quickly as possible. Don't make it too thin, but also don't make it too thick.
4. Put your rhinestones where you want them to be. To apply the rhinestone(s) to the gel glue, push them in a little bit.
5. cure for 60 minutes 90 seconds is the time limit. br>The top coat acts as a second layer of glue for the rhinestone, filling in the gaps that would otherwise appear if the rhinestone were only applied to glue. You don't need to apply a top coat over/around the rhinestones with this method, so you won't smudge the shine, and you can do multiple fingers at once because the rhinestones won't slide around while embedded in the product. br>Definitely experiment with different methods to see what works best for you! This is the method I've found to be the most effective, especially for those large rhinestones that always seem to fall off after a few days- This method, however, is not one of them!.
Surprising, to say the least! The quality of the stones, in fact, surprised me greatly; they are of good quality and last a long time. And it all arrived on time and in good condition. I haven't tried it yet, but my first impression is very positive.
Since the outbreak, I've been doing my own nails. I've always liked adding a little glitz to my nails, so I decided to get this. I'm not a nail technician by any stretch of the imagination, so my press-on nails and crookedly placed gem stones are the best I can do. However, I really enjoy it. I'm glad I got these stones because they're lovely. A UV light is required for the stone glue, and I received one for free when I ordered from Ohora.
My cute-as-a-button Covid has been unkind to me. This purchase has ended my nail addiction! It's super simple to use and apply, the tools are great, and it lasts a long time! I finished it off with a gel topcoat. br>I'm sure I'll improve my technique over time, as this was my first time doing gel and gems on myself (and I have carpal tunnel and arthritis), but I'm still very proud of them, and they're super cute!.
