Questions & Answers
Yes, absolutely! I find that using tips makes it much easier to get the form where I want it without gaps between the form and my finger (especially for beginners).
Yes. However, just FYI, it is not a good acrylic for beginners because it dries quickly. You'll be fine with the polish as long as you buff it to remove the shine and give any polish type or nail strips something to adhere to.
Is used to remove any remaining oils or grease on the nail plate that could cause your acrylic or base coat to not adhere to the nail. It also prevents the formation of any air bubbles, resulting in improved adhesion.

To begin with, I am in no way close to being a professional. This is my third brand of tried acrylic; lower brands are also in rank (kiss, and some kind of dip powder that's doubling as acrylic— amazon sold, blah blah), but this stuff isn't it. If these were the only items you needed, the price would be incredible for a beginner. However, you should not use it to practice bead ratios or apex building. I'm not perfect when it comes to liquid to powder ratios, but I'm getting better, and this has me questioning everything I've learned and practiced. br>- None of the beads blended in with one another. br>- Making the beads too runny or continuing to saturate my brush (a more expensive one and the ones that came with the kit) were the only ways I could keep them from drying in 3 seconds. br>- Only by making a bead too runny could I get it to lay flat against the nail or between or around other beads. br>- I could say so much more, I really wanted to like this. br>Filing shows the crevices between most beads, and if you wanted your nails to be long, the cracks were all in the apexes. br>I could say so much more, I really wanted to like this. This wasn't even the worst part of my experience; it's supposed to contain a white and clear powder, but I only got clear, and it looked cloudy. Please do some research on YouTube before purchasing or save up for a better brand; your money will show, just like it did with this set. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because of the amount of money spent. Despite the fact that Kiss offers an acrylic kit that is less expensive and of higher quality, I believe I should not have had such high expectations from the kit.
I'm a licensed hairdresser who bought this product for myself. With a good brush, I think I'd be able to work with acrylic. The brushes were extremely flimsy, with bristles that were far too long to provide any direction for application on the nail. I'd recommend either shortening the bristles or getting a new brush. Before you try it on your own nails, make sure you have a good idea of what you want to do.
The KIT was great, but it's not for beginners because it dries out too quickly and you have to know how to work with it. Overall, this is a great deal.
I used a dehydrator and a primer after gritting my nail bed. br>I used my finger to peel this acrylic off the same day. br>It is a waste of money.
br> I'm irritated by the actual size; I expected the real thing, not a SAMPLE SIZE! They've got to be joking, right? I could have gotten a better deal at the Dollar General down the street for the same price, and they would have been full-sized bottles instead of 1 ounce bottles! It had to be the pricey glass cup that came with the sampler! Unbelievable! br> This is something I will never buy again.
I'm a beginner at teaching myself how to do my own nails, and it was mostly easy while using this product, except that the brush kept clumping up the acrylic powder every time I got a new bead, even after I cleaned it off. Otherwise, I found it easy to use this product as a beginner; however, I would recommend purchasing different brushes rather than using the ones included in the package.
So far, I've been able to do pretty much whatever I want with it. I've only used it twice, and I'm a complete novice. I learned how to use it by watching videos on YouTube. It's not as simple as it appears. The second time went better than the first, but I'm always frustrated by how quickly the acrylic dries. If you don't apply it quickly enough, the acrylic will dry and leave a bump that you won't be able to flatten. "This Acrylic Liquid Monomer has a three-day drying time. " Let me tell you, "7 minutes" is a load of BS. I hope you have a good drill, lmao. br>br>I now do my acrylic and gel on my own. It takes me nearly three hours to complete everything by myself. It's best to wait.
This may not be the best option for you if you are a beginner or have trouble forming nails. This is exactly what you'll need if you're quick and enjoy strong nails.
