I took a chance on this bit because my lavinda efile had impressed me, and it's a dream to work with! It is simple to remove acrylic and does not become hot. Unlike other bits, you can use this one around your cuticle without worrying about tearing your finger up. This bit came in handy at every stage of the nail-painting process! Stopping and changing bits can be inconvenient, so I'm grateful for that. This is something I can see myself using exclusively in the future.
So, I'm a professional nail technician, and if you're looking to use this in a professional setting, I'd recommend going to a pro shop like kupa/ericas, etc. instead. Here's why: This bit is fine, but as soon as it comes into contact with barbicide, lucascide, or other similar chemicals, the color peels off, indicating that the sharpness of the bit is being compromised. For a few dollars more, you can get Erica's smooth top carbide or young nails tornado, which will last longer and won't break down in disinfectants. I would not recommend either unless you have had some type of training if you are not a professional. If not run at the correct speed with a proper efile with good torque, this bit will cut you and not do the job you want it to do. Remember that if you use the right machine and speed, the bit should do all of the work, and you shouldn't need much pressure. If you apply a lot of pressure, you'll get huge differences in your enhancements, as well as your efile kicking around the edges and causing a lot of friction. The purple coating on this bit is unnecessary; typically, a purple coating is applied by a high-end technical abrasive company to coat the bit in a special anti-heat coating that also extends the bit's life. This bit doesn't do any of those things, but it will still cut acrylic or gel. Also, this should only be used as a nail enhancement. NO NATURAL NAILS.
This can be used at a very low speed and still produce excellent results!.
This is a must-have item in your nail kit if you want to save money by doing your own gel or acrylic nails. I tried a lot of different methods to get rid of my gel and acrylic nail polish, but they all took a long time. I was blown away by how well this bit handled both acrylic and gel. There will be no more drilling and buffing with multiple bits. I wish I'd discovered it earlier.

It is incredible! Ease does it all: removes extensions, files away bulk, and works on cuticles.
This is a line from which I will undoubtedly buy more.
