I was told by my wife that no UV light was needed.
I did not purchase any polish, just the shiny top coat so I would be able to use it should I chip my nails. In the description, it stated that no activation or curing was required. Like the pictures show, it is not as soft and shiny as it appears, but rather is bumpy and has very little shine. There is nothing good about it!
My normal practice is to dip each finger in the powder and then dust it off after doing my entire hand. I can tell that it has dried that way.
If it's a base coat for dip powder I wouldn't use it

It is a good idea to apply rubbing alcohol to your nails before applying top coat to ensure they aren't tacky. Soak your nails in this and let it dry/evaporate before applying Whenever you apply two coats, ensure that the first coat is COMPLETELY dry before you apply the second. The rubbing alcohol can also be used between the top coat and the bottom coat.
This base coat has a better feel than the Kiara Sky Base I was previously using. This is not only cheaper, but it also applies easier and I have never had a problem with the brush getting stuck to the bottle or hardening. It is a great product, and I recommend it.
Prior to that, I was using Kiara sky dip powder, and the brush used to get stuck together, and my nails would get stained with lines from the brush. Afterwards, I went back and used it for a while but it was very thick and took forever to dry and would go on like a clear coat but would crack eventually because it wasn't as hard as a good dip top coat should be so I found this one. There is no trace of odour and it has an amazing shine. My obsession with my nails is how hard they are and how good they look. Cracking will no longer take place. THE KIT HAS BEEN MY choice for the fourth time. The top coat of my car hardened after I purchased some Kiara Sky products. Due to two reasons I did not realize that Seal and Protect is an "activator" and I did not clean my brush before dipping it into the bottle and I did not rub the nail with an alcohol-soaked wipe and I did not master I may have been a bit too excited when I finished In this image, the sky dip powders are used, but the azure top coat is also used. In my case, the brush did not harden and there was no streaking in my nail.
I learned to apply the activator (seal and protect) and rub the product into my nails after buffing. To remove bacteria, just rub away with a paper towel (clean) or Kleenex soaked in alcohol or spray hand sanitizer. You then apply a clear top coat, as you would with clear polish, on a clean surface. In the event that you need to add more activator to the nail, just rub the nail brush on a clean surface (paper towel) before returning it to the bottle the excess activator that may not have been rubbed into the nail is what hardens the brush. A streaky finish does not look professional on your nails and is not cute. Because I was dissatisfied with my nail condition and had streaky nails from the hard brush, I literally hid my nails in public.

In retrospect, I realize that might be one of the reasons it's cheaper (I don't recommend you do this unless you want to feel like you've got the flu after every nail appointment.
