When it is turned on hot, the uv and light work for a few seconds before flashing and turning off.
For gel polish, it's ideal. My gel polish has lasted at least three weeks; I prefer it thin because it doesn't last as long if applied too thinly. I give it 5 stars because it's a fantastic product.
Despite the fact that I am not a licensed nail technician, I perform my own gel manicures and gel nails. It's almost certainly due to a lack of nail prep. To ensure proper adhesion of the gel polish to your nail bed, the area must be clean and free of oils. br>I haven't had any issues with the gel polish sticking, including the one I ordered from this site.

I know this lamp is intended for nail art, but I purchased it for my UV resin and didn't see any reviews for it, so I went in blind, but I was pleasantly surprised! The power cord is long enough that I don't need an extension to use it on my desk, and the wattage matches the resin perfectly. It worked much faster than my old lamp and was extremely simple to use! br>It was also a good size for a variety of project sizes.
Finally, I began sifting through all of the Amazon reviews and discovered this lamp. Don't be tempted by a less expensive lamp! You'll come to regret your decision in the end. Pay a little more and get a real working lamp, like I did. This device is incredible and saves me a lot of money because I prefer to do my nails at home. Because the unit is open, it's super easy to do gel pedicures and manicures. I bought another lamp on Amazon that was a pink shell lamp, but I can't remember who made it. It was a big fat fail! I tried a few different gel polishes on the other lamp, but none of them would harden. Because the unit is open ended, it's incredibly simple to do gel pedicures and manicures. This lamp will cure every single gel polish I have! I cannot express how pleased I am with the product's quality for the price. That thing, honestly, pays for itself after two manicures.
I didn't use this to cure UV resin, but I did use it to cure nails. Looking through the reviews, I noticed that the uv lamp for this purpose had only one review, so I figured I'd add my two cents. I was worried about not being able to find a UV lamp that would work for curing, but this one does. The resin was not tacky at all after curing. The lamp is fairly simple to operate, and unlike most of the other lamps I saw on Amazon, it is not overly bulky. I'm quite pleased with it:.
For techs who do clients' nails, the smart digital timer is ideal. I've had problems with black gel polish not curing properly, and the double power feature eliminates any bubbles or ripples caused by the polish not curing completely. To avoid heat spikes with builder gels, the lower power feature gradually increases every 30 seconds. I don't want my clients to be in pain during my services. The buttons are simple to operate, and any time setting can be cancelled by pressing the 30 or 60 second button once more. This bottomless lamp can also be turned upside down for press-on gel nail applications without the need for additional support. Although looking directly into the bulbs is not recommended, the uv/led bulbs are safer for eyes than older uv lamps. br>br>I'm very happy with the SUN8, and I'll probably buy another for dual curing or just pedicures.
The item I received was only 24 watts, contrary to the listing description. (It worked fine for my UV resin; it just took a little longer to dry. ) This is not the light for you if your resin requires a specific wattage.
br>• I'm usually one to keep products that work well enough, but doing a set with this lamp was far too time consuming for me, defeating the purpose of gel polish. br>• In the end, I would spend the extra money and time to find a lamp with a higher wattage for ease of use. As a result, I now enjoy switching things up on a regular basis. my toes are up! br>All the best with your gel nail painting:.
Gel nails are not fully cured with this method. I've tried pounding my nails into it numerous times with no success. I use high-quality gel polish and have had no luck with this lamp. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this outcome. I even tried a different brand, and the results were the same.
Because of all the positive reviews, I had high hopes for this lamp. . . but my cheap little lamp from Rite Aid, which I bought nearly ten years ago, seems to work better. I use a pH bonder as well as a high-performance adhesive. Despite using high-quality topcoats, bases, and polishes, everything peels off after a few days. Very let down.
