My clothes have been washed in the washer with warm water and air dried by hanging them on clips on a hanger, and they did shrink a little, but they washed and dried well. Due to their 100% cotton construction, I suspect they would shrink quite a bit when washed in hot water. In any case, I do not recommend drying them, unless you need a large load. It didn't seem to help to wash them in a hosiery bag, as they just seemed to bunch up, and then they weren't If they are the only remaining small items in the load, I like to throw them loose with a load of towels, since I can find them much easier and pull them out for air drying if they are the only items In addition, you might want to turn heavy skin creams inside out when you wash them because the heavier creams might not get washed out completely if you don't, which means they feel stiff and oily after washing twice.

The shampoo would soak through the cotton gloves, because they are all cotton gloves. My recommendation is to wear plastic gloves and to use a good hand lotion before putting them on while washing your hair. I have eczema as well. When I use my cotton ones at bedtime, I coat my hands in Aquaphor first. This might be of some help.

There is no doubt that these gloves are of high quality Strictly - The creams aren't soaked through the stitched seams and the fabric is softer and thicker than others. are very well-made and hold their shape very well, and the elastic at the wrist makes it easy to keep them on while sleeping or working. It is by far the best of any brand I have tried. I cut between 1/4 and 1/3 of the length to make a more comfortable fit. I cut 3/8" from the tips of the fingers of a few pairs to keep my fingertips visible so I can work more comfortably during the day, and then I use the full gloves at night to keep all the moisture in I've been hanging them up to dry overnight after washing them, but they shrink a little in the dryer, so I wash them in the washing machine and then dry them in the dryer. Because they are a little thicker, I can't slip my rubber gloves over them for dishes or cleaning (unless you have a larger size rubber glove), but it's fine. It has been a while since I've found such quality cosmetic gloves!.
Other pairs don't stay on my hands at night, but these are very comfortable. The elastic band on the wrists keeps them in place.
