A pair of booties is included in the package. For a total of one treatment, one for each foot is required. By the way, I was also perplexed by this. I assumed the package would include two treatments for each of my two feet. That wasn't the case.
I've experimented with a variety of other brands as well as baby foot. It's worth the extra money for baby foot because other brands require multiple treatments to achieve the same results as baby foot, especially if your heels are thick and cracked.
I, too, did not soak first. I'll do it again, but all of the skin came off in the process - Instead of bubbling and peeling, it's more flaky. It took about 7 days to get up and running. It's best not to touch it until it's fully cooked. I believe that soaking it would have accelerated the peeling process.
During nursing, only ingested salicylic acid is a problem. I've used these while nursing several times with no negative side effects, but I didn't start using them until my baby was over 6 months old.

Take a look at my personal results after 8 days! If you're like me and don't apply lotion to your feet on a daily basis, your heels will become dry and cracked. or deal with calf cramps and a less-than-pleasant appearance. and you're too ashamed to get a pedicure. You'll be blown away by this product. br>br>I've used this product a few times now and have been very pleased with the results! I discovered some helpful hints that have helped me tremendously! I was inconsistent and allowed my feet to become badly cracked again, so here are my photos from before I began treatment in January 2018 and my current photos of my feet (I am on day 8 now, so my peeling is less, but I am still peeling- When I soak my feet again, the peeling intensifies and becomes more manageable! ) Wow! What a stark contrast! 1. br>br> Before you put on the booties, make sure you soak your feet for at least 30 minutes. This helps the product absorb into your feet by opening your pores. If your feet are particularly sore and rough, soak for a longer period of time. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br I wear my booties for two hours (90 minutes should suffice- However, if your feet are extremely dry, 2 hours will be the most effective time for absorption). You have the option of wearing socks or not. For the first hour, I wear socks to keep it pressed against my skin, but for the last hour, I take them off and let the booties do all the work: 3. )br>br>4. )br>br>5. )br>br>6. Soak your feet for at least 30 minutes each day (or longer if your feet are particularly rough). You can do this in the bath, a foot bath, or a bowl/container of some sort; there is no need to add anything special to the water; however, I prefer to use warm to hot water. 4. br>br> Don't peel your skin if you don't have to! After soaking, gently rub or use a gentle foot file to remove the skin, which will peel like a sunburn and come off easily. If you have a piece that isn't peeling yet and is hanging loose on the other end, and it is bothering you, remove it. Simply use nail clippers to remove it. 4. br>br> Your feet will not be cute during this process. They'll peel a lot, especially between days 3 and 7. After that, it becomes a more mild peel for up to two weeks since you started on day one. BUT IT IS WORTH IT! Due to my disability and inability to maintain my feet, I have horrible, dry, cracked "desert floor" heels. After hearing positive feedback from friends, I decided to purchase it. br>br>Prior to using it, I began soaking my feet in hot water with CBD infused bath salts every night or every other night. I then used CBD-infused lotion as a follow-up. I tried this for about a week and didn't get very far. br>br>I put the product on my feet (wear socks on top and walk carefully because it's very slippery). I left them on for three hours, based on other reviews and how bad my feet were. br>br>After three hours, I washed my feet with soap and warm water, as directed on the package. br>br>As is customary, I continued to soak my feet every day or every other day. The tops of my feet began to peel around day three. On the fifth day, the bottoms and heels were added. Using my fingernails and a pumice stone, I was able to gently scrape away large amounts of dead skin from my feet during soaks. Gently scratch/rub the area, but don't press too hard. If it's ready, it should easily come off. By day 9- My feet (including the heels!) are a ten on a scale of one to ten. ) are almost completely free of blemishes! br>br>Next month, I'm going to have another treatment. br>br>Be sure to soak or apply lotion in between to help loosen the skin. Just WOW! (I wish I had the ability to use italics -) I rarely write product reviews (as I don't want to sound like a POTUS tweet)br>But, honey, this stuff is the real deal. br>I had disgusting feet. Skin that is thick and crusty in appearance. To make matters worse, pedicures in these salons are not permitted to include the use of razors. I've tried using blades on my own and failed miserably. br>After hearing about this from a friend, I decided to give it a shot. br>After showering, I put on the "boots," taped them shut, and covered my feet with two layers of socks to prevent the gel from seeping out. I took them off after an hour of waiting. They didn't seem to have changed. So I sat and waited for something to happen. br>It's the third day, and I still can't believe what I'm seeing! The skin is literally peeling away in large sheets. If you enjoy peeling your skin and want to see results quickly, this is the product for you. br>I want to buy it for people because I like it so much. The price had dropped to about a week ago. I previously purchased this item and found it to be EXCELLENT. I thought it was too good to be true when the price dropped to an absurdly low level about a week ago. I grabbed three pairs of shoes in a flash. I should have gone with my gut instinct when I received three foil packages without a box. The "Baby Foot" logos were not stamped on any of the foot masks, as shown in the photo and on the one I previously received. Furthermore, none of the foil packages were labeled "Baby Foot," and the active ingredients were not the same as those found in "Baby Foot. " Because I am a pharmacist, I have a broad understanding of chemistry and am aware that glycolic acid is one of the key ingredients in this product. The active ingredients in this product are depicted in the attached image. It's a hysterical situation. The ending "salicylic acid and so on" is even funnier than "glycol. " "When we look at ingredient lists, we never see "and so on. " I'm not sure if this is even permitted in the United States. I'm going to look for a replacement for the entire product. Yes, I should have taken the old adage to heart. It's all too good to be true, right?.
