It's unclear what type of dye is in their product or if colors like Red 40 are used. The company avoids food coloring questions, at least it's specific about what type of dye is in their product. This is a shame as I was about to become a subscriber as this is the only way I can get my 2 year old into the tub (sudden phobia), so I would have been purchasing There is, however, a risk of hypertoxicity associated with food dyes such as red 40 (do a quick google search on the effects), and what touches the skin gets absorbed into the bloodstream. This is just a bit weird that we get round about answers. I will have to come up with some other bribe to get my son.

You guys did a great job! Taking a bath is something both of my children look forward to. It is amusing to see the drops dissolve and turn the bath into a beautiful color as they quickly disappear. Our tubs don't stain and neither of my children have developed any skin reactions by using them (and their skin is very fair).
