The hats did indeed have satin, but there was only one layer and the satin was on the outside. The material that touched your hair was on the inside of the hat, which defeats the purpose of this garment.

I love this so much. The package arrived just yesterday, and as soon as I got it, I took it out of the bag and put it on my head, and have been wearing it Having worn it for so long, I can almost forget that I am The new favorite. A quick tip for those who intend to wear it for long periods of time, don't put it on your edges, because they will pull. Your edges will be secure and protected with the bonnet as it slides over your head and around your ears. You might think it's strange to have your ears covered, but you'll get used to it in no time. This bonnet is so comfortable once it has been in place for awhile that you will forget it was ever there.

My pillow friction causes my hair to break, so I wear these at night so I don't be exposed to it. I cut a slit in the side of them to make them more comfortable since they were a little tight at first.

Comparing the price to other stores, this is a great deal. However, I did not find them to be tight at all. I bought them because several other reviews noted that they were big in size, but they will work with braids or a long sew in like I do. These are available in large and small sizes, but I wish the vendor offered medium and small sized ones I am satisfied with the purchase as a whole.
