It all depends on how big your'suitcase' is. It would take up the majority of the space in a carry-on bag, but it would fit nicely in a checked bag. I've taken it with me on trips and packed it in the car seat bag.
I've never noticed anything like this before.
It will need to be covered with a sheet to keep it in place. Maybe if your couch is covered in a slipcover.
Probably because I haven't tried it, but the bumper isn't attached to the bed in any way. A non-skid pad on the bottom keeps it in place, and the sheets on top keep it in place.

When we converted our crib to a toddler bed, the side rail left a large gap. I was concerned that my son would pass out in the middle of the night. In his sleep, he enjoys roaming around his crib. He slept fine without it, but as a nervous first-time mother, I wanted to make sure he didn't fall out in the middle of the night. I looked for a bumper that would be useful not only at home, but also while we were on the road. I also wanted to make sure it was well-made for the price, and we've been very pleased with it since getting it. It comes vacuum-sealed, so you'll have to wait for it to air out and expand to its full size. It's simple to put together: It's ready to use as soon as you place it under the fitted sheet. When you're on the go, it folds up and compresses nicely for travel. It has kept my son safe and comfortable in his bed, and we are very pleased with our purchase. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that it does not completely cover the edge of our toddler bed. It's only about 6 inches long, but the railing on the other side prevents him from falling off, so it's not a major issue.
He's too big for a travel crib but not quite big enough for a bed. My worries were allayed by this bumper! Value: br>br> It was also easy to fold up and transport inside a plastic bin; each night after a day of driving, I'd put this under the sheet at the hotel and then put my other child on the opposite side of the bed to keep our youngest from falling out. It worked flawlessly and was a LOT easier to pack and transport than our pack n' play. br>br>It's quite high, and despite the fact that my toddler is a restless sleeper, he couldn't roll out. This product made me feel very safe when I was using it. br>br>I would recommend it to any parent who needs to travel.
My four-year-old was given a big boy bed, which he promptly fell out of several times each night. I tried the clumsy rail first, but it's difficult to get in and out while snuggled up reading bedtime stories, so I switched to this. This bumper has made us extremely happy. I put it under his mattress pad, and it stays in place, just like he does. Because my husband travels frequently for work, little man occasionally climbs into bed with me, so I purchased a second one to keep in our bed on those nights. We don't have to line the bed with chairs or pillows anymore because they're easy to take to hotels.
No one has fallen out of bed since they bought this bumper! It folds (and zips) to save a lot of space, inflates right out of the box, and is incredibly simple to "install" and "remove. " br>I would highly recommend the product, and I'm considering purchasing two more when my children graduate to twin beds.
Once used, it appears to stay (or not) in place; However, my 3-year-old did knock this off the bed, and I'm not sure if it was due to her kicking while she slept - But, on the other hand, how strong can a toddler be? I usually use pillows, and it seems to work for me. Pillows take up an excessive amount of space. I suppose we'll have to try it again and see what happens. It was a good deal because I only had to pay $20. Travel-friendly- It's better than nothing, and it's very portable and light.
We bought this to use on the road, but after seeing how well it worked, we ditched our bedrail and now use it at home. It will also be simple to pick up and take with us on our travels. This is something I should've done a long time ago!.
It seems to stay put under my child's sheet quite well. Because it's made of foam, it's both soft and durable. I tried an inflatable version in the past, but it only lasted six months. I've never used it for travel, but I imagine it would be simple to transport because it folds in half and has carrying handles. Overall, I'm glad I found this product and wish I had discovered it sooner rather than later after wasting money on other items.
This is an excellent item. The material is nice, it inflates quickly and is firm but soft to the touch. It's precisely what we needed. Not only does it keep my daughter safe in bed, but it also serves as a backrest for me. We like the folding feature because it allows us to easily transport it from one location to another. The only problem is that anything Velcro (velcro holds the two pieces together more firmly) can wake a baby, so we have to be careful when Ninja rolls out of bed!.
