My two-year-old is a whirlwind of motion. He's been sleeping in a big bed for the past 18 months, and they've managed to keep him under control. During nap time, he did throw his leg over one, but he didn't fall out. When we read at night, he leans up against them, and the sheets, thankfully, keep him in place.
Each bed rail is designed to fit only one side of the bed. You might not need another bed if your current one is close to the wall.
That's what they're talking about when they say "king size."
I had no problems letting mine lie flat overnight, and even though it was very clean, I washed the cover just to be safe, as I do with everything I buy.

I wasn't going to leave feedback because I didn't buy it for the intended purpose and therefore have no idea how good it is. Based on what I've seen, I think it'll be pretty good. My blind rabbit, on the other hand, was always getting lost, and I needed something soft to keep her from running into a space where she would get turned around. This is ideal because it has a flat bottom, is soft enough not to hurt her, and is too tall for her to simply step over. So, if you have a blind bunny, pay attention.
What a disappointment this product turned out to be. Please read this before making a purchase! br>I was thrilled to discover an alternative to the traditional bed rails for keeping my toddler safe. However, I was disappointed when it arrived. With the exception of the very ends, it never got higher or thicker than an inch. I had to include photos so that anyone thinking about buying this product could see the absurd difference between the advertising photos of what it should look like and reality. To allow the foam to expand, the instructions state that it should be left out for several hours. My photographs are taken over the course of several hours; this is how it looks three days after I opened the box; there is no difference in size or shape!.
They're two long, half-cylinder heavy pillows that fit under the sheets and are about half the height of a standard metal safety rail. The main issue is that a standard fitted sheet is too short to cover both half cylinders and the mattress, preventing it from being tucked around the mattress's bottom corners. The other issue is that they use like a standard twin bed surface, which shouldn’t be a major issue for kids. In terms of functionality, I put them on my daughter's bed after we removed the safety rails, and she hasn't rolled over and fallen in two months. So they're functional.
This was purchased for my older beagle, who rolled off of our rather high bed. This suits him perfectly. So much better than the bird netting and blanket bolster I set up just in case he flew away. I believe he enjoys it as well!.
year- old. He was just moved from a crib to a full-size bed. These were the perfect size for the sides of my king-size bed. He hasn't been able to get out of his chair. I'd choose these over traditional railings any day!.
So far, it's stayed put, so I'm very pleased with this purchase! My son can now only get into his bed from the end, so I'm not sure the full length was necessary. Because of the rail, he can't climb up the side of the bed, which is something to consider before buying.
I'm so glad I came across this item while searching for a way to keep my grandchildren safe in bed. It's ideal: there's nothing I need to remember to put up before I leave, I can easily slide them into the bed over it, it doesn't take up so much space that they can't sleep (even with a few extra stuffed animals), and they don't feel like a caged animal. The grandchildren made no attempt to understand why it was in the bed. It's a cinch to use. The new bed system is a fantastic replacement for the old one. Anyone looking for this type of bed safety should give it a try.
But it turned out to be firm, the length is ideal, and it stays in place! So far, it's worked for my 2-year-old daughter, who flips off the bed in her sleep.
