In my opinion, yes it's pretty wide, but this chair is very poor quality, and the arm is detached from the chair as well as the wood splits down the seat. In the end, we purchased a local brand as Amazon would not refund our money. It lasted less than eight months of limited use.

I put it together in less than an hour, it was very easy. In all honesty, putting on the armrest cushions was probably the most difficult part Also, it has a very nice appearance and is very comfortable! This has been our everyday computer for about four and a half months now, and it is still holding up. There is no sign of a break yet either. Please let me know if there is any issue in another couple of months or if there are any safety concerns! I still highly recommend this rocking chair!.

It was my responsibility to assemble two of these for my brother and his wife as you see in the above picture when they moved into their new apartment. Both of them have said about how comfortable the chairs feel, they have told me they love them. When I attempted to put the arm rests together, my hands were in severe pain, so I had to get help from a friend. I think they should design this better or make the material longer so you can stretch it to get up and around the wood more easily. It is impossible to fit the snaps into each other either. Except for that, I am happy with it since it is accepted by two individuals. I am not sure if it has to do with the angle. Sadly, one of the screws in the back of the glider fell out after we had this chair for a week. One week after buying the chair, it no longer works.
