I used this mattress on a toddler bed that was 55 inches long and 20 inches wide, and it fit perfectly.
No, you won't be able to feel the coils.
This was a gift for one of my granddaughters. She's now four years old, and she's petite and light. The mattress, according to my daughter-in-law, is still in excellent condition. There are no problems, and everything appears to be in good working order.
There are two of them in total. A waterproof mattress pad is not necessary. Vinyl or a similar material makes up the mattress. I simply wiped everything down.

If I had the option, I would give this 0 or 1 star. When my three-month-old baby was seven weeks old, he began sleeping in his crib on this mattress, and it was wonderful at first; he slept most of the night and only awoke once to eat. He would sleep all night on occasion! However, within a month, an indentation of his body had formed in the mattress, and he has been waking up at least three times per night for the past few nights. He is no longer standing on a perfectly level surface. I understand that body indents develop over time in mattresses, but this is ridiculously fast. Because he slept all night in a pack n' play while we were away for the holidays, I know it's this mattress that's causing him problems. This mattress is a total waste of time and money. When I lay my baby down or move him in his sleep, the springs make a lot of noise. I'm not sure why this received such high marks.
To avoid suffocation, infant mattresses should be very firm. I'm a sleep consultant for children, a mother of two, and a sleep expert. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this mattress is dangerous. After a few naps, I noticed that my son's head and torso had sunk quite a bit in his crib. This would be a huge suffocation hazard if he rolled on his stomach, which all babies do, so I'm tossing it and ordering a new one right away. He's going back to sleep in the bassinet!.
This is my fourth purchase of a Sealy Crib Mattress. I like how sturdy they are and how well they can withstand the abuse given to them by toddlers and small children. The only drawback I've noticed in the 5 years I've had them is that the plastic liner can dry out and crack over time, usually on the mattress's corners but not always. Even so, if the need arose, I would purchase another. They're a good investment.
THIS GRANDMA BOUGHT TWO OF THESE MATTRESSES FOR OUR INFANT/TODDLER GRANDCHILDREN TO USE FOR THEIR ANNUAL VIRTUAL VISIT FROM THE WEST COAST. BOTH mattresses tore at the seams just before Christmas! Kolcraft agreed to replace both mattresses that were under warranty after receiving multiple photos and tags. I was turned down for a refund or a material upgrade. I paid around $80 for each mattress and am extremely dissatisfied with the results. I was looking for a mattress that was both waterproof and breathable. With a waterproof pad, I suppose a fabric cover is a better option. This product, hopefully, has been upgraded since 2017. Take part in the action. learn.
It's a comfortable bed. I can't speak to its comfort, but I purchased it for both of my children and have had no problems with it.
Baby's mattress is fine. However, after two months of use, you can tell where my newborn sleeps. In the middle of the mattress, there is a slight sag. I chose an inner spring mattress over memory foam in the hopes of avoiding this, but it happened. Hopefully, it will keep her comfortable for a few years.
This mattress appears to be adequate for the price. For our first, we chose a mattress without springs, which I prefer (despite the fact that it cost twice as much). ) It's fine if you're on a budget, but I think the nicer one is worth the extra money. We'll see how it holds up over time, but the baby seems to like it, so that's all that matters.
It's completely waterproof, so it'll probably last you for a long time. However, there is no softness, which is standard for a spring mattress; the only reason I didn't spend the extra $5 on the antimicrobial version is that it is extra firm. I'm hoping my child will accept this one because it's extra springy. It was also available in a pale blue hue.
