Questions & Answers

What do you think of this mattress? Is it too firm for babies or toddlers? Although I understand the need for firmness, this is quite intense. ?

I switched to the toddler side at 5 months when she started rolling over easily. It didn't help either. My baby didn't like either side. At 5 months, she wouldn't sleep well on the infant side, so I switched her to the toddler side. As it turned out, I purchased a wool mattress topper from Holy Lamb Organics and put it over Although that helped a little, she found that she slept much better and longer on our (toxic) adult mattress, so she mostly napped on it and slept with us Her mother and I have always slept with her half the time because she has never enjoyed sleeping on this mattress, even after spending a ridiculous amount of money on a wool topper and a wool comforter (also from Holy Lamb) used as extra cushion under the crib sheet. Our daughter would also wake up sweaty at night, which later we realized was caused by the plastic covers on the mattress. To me, it is hard to understand why one would choose to wrap something that a baby (or anyone) sleeps on in plastic. Yes, I realize it makes it waterproof, but it makes it not breathable as well. My husband and I recently moved and converted the crib into a toddler bed. I got her a new mattress from Green Cradle (awesome). The mattress is similar to our adult mattress, but it is not toxic, breathable, or uncomfortable. As soon as she wears it, she enjoys being comfortable and no longer sweats. Therefore, she immediately starts sleeping through the night. I agree that this mattress is too firm, even for a baby or toddler. In addition, the material is This would not be a purchase I would make

Could you clean the surface of this mattress with a wet cloth like you could a vinyl surface?

In fact, yes. When you are sick, spitting up, or in the midst of an accident at the bathroom, it is indispensable. The service was almost three years old when I used it. There is nothing wrong with it. I didn't smell, and I didn't sink. There is no doubt that it is an extremely hard mattress, but one that is You won't find any nasty chemicals here. I am very happy with my

How much can a person weigh, or how old can they be? The very firm nature of this mattress makes me assume it should be more appropriate for babies. My son is getting into it, so I'm wondering when he will grow out of ?

Hello, everyone! With crib mattresses, toddler beds can be converted to be used. Mattress is good, but it does not last
3/5

I am not someone who buys all organic items, but the crib mattress seemed one item that was worth paying more for. In addition to the waterproof outer layer, this clothing was also very comfortable. In the end, however, this mattress disappoints me in terms of its durability. Despite the fact that it was used for about two years by my first child, the mattress is so compressed and sagging in the center that I do not expect to be able to reuse it for my next child. I was really hoping I could use this for both kids at this price point.

It is best to be cautious when buying
3/5

The good news is that I feel compelled to write this review after owning it for a couple of years. I did not find this mattress cheap in the least. Two years ago, my toddler, who is extremely short, used this for the first time. I was greatly disappointed to discover that there was a major sink hole in the mattress when I recently transitioned my toddler to a twin bed. In the past we thought we could use the same mattress for both us and our infant, but now it seems impossible. It is an absolutely outrageous mistake to cause this to happen, especially given the item's cost and normal wear and tear. The price of this product is high, and the quality is low, making me not recommend it. Consider an alternative that will give you more bang for your buck.

There is dirt coming out of the Let's start with the fact that this mattress measures 51 inches instead of 52 inches
3/5

As my baby is 16 months old and I don't have concerns about him suffocating, I was going to let go of this. DIRT began to come out of the mattress after a week of sleeping on this mattress. It was still a new sheet on it, but the mattress had dirt on it. My hands did not look clean when I opened it, but now they smell Naturepedic will be able to give me some answers, so I'll contact them.

In general, I was pleased with the purchase, with a few minor issues
4/5

Until now, the mattress has received a 4 star rating. We'll try to update the post when the baby has slept on it for a few months. As a first impression Packaging is good no chemical smell. Is there perhaps the smell of flour or yeast? It does not bother me. The sheet should be very firm (important for safety, we definitely prefer this)
•very rigid waterproof surface (not sewn down in the same direction, therefore the edge sticks out and does not lay flat under the Ideally, it should be on the side of the mattress where the baby will not come in contact with it. This crib is very lightweight and the waterproof surface (that seems heavy-duty in construction) has rigid corners, so I wonder if over the years, rubbing from changing sheets and going in and out of the crib will damage those rigid areas and create holes or weaken the A standard crib that fits our standard mattress. For perfect fit, it might be better to make it 1 cm wider. If you buy crib sheets, you will need to make sure they are stretchy. It would be impossible to use Target crib sheets. It was comfortable to sleep on organic cotton sheets from Burt's Bees.

Unlike standard cribs, it cannot be used on a standard crib
3/5

This product does not meet safety standards. When we opened this mattress, it was too small for the crib. In fact, this mattress is advertised as a standard 28x52" crib mattress. As soon as we measured it, we realized it was only 26x50" and would not fit into our standard crib, which makes it impossible to measure for safety. This is extremely I believe that the safety of the crew should be taken very.

Flows into the sink after usage
3/5

It is now 2 years since I bought the mattress, and I need to repurchase a new one because it is completely sunken in the center. Despite being very satisfied with this mattress for the first year, it wasn't able to hold up through the baby and toddler years, which is disappointing for its price. flipped the mattress frequently to try to prevent it, but it didn't help. Since this mattress has a short lifespan, I do not recommend it.

The material is light, firm, and expensive
4/5

This is a pretty cool place to sleep for my baby. It would be nice to have a softer toddler side. Due to the fact that both sides are so firm, I can't even tell which is which. In general, the mattress is very light weight and otherwise seems nice, but it is very expensive. It looks like one day I'll have to add something to make it softer when my baby is older, as this is too firm to last into toddlerhood, negating all of the benefits.

Are you looking for the lightest or the classic? Having just bought this mattress about a year ago, my 16-month-old has been sleeping on it for about a year now and we have been very pleased
5/5

A new mattress is on my list because my pregnancy with #2 is coming up soon. Seeing as this was the only lightweight they had last year, I was SO happy to spot it when I saw it, because my only complaint about the Classic is its In other words, if you're on the small or short side like me, then try this one. It's equally pricey for the lightweight to acquire a seamless wrapping as it is for the regular Classic, so there is no additional charge. The mattress is great, and I would buy it again and again. The odor was so bad that I even returned an LA Baby organic mattress I hate it! Naturepedic is the best on the market and your baby will spend 14 hours a day on it, so why not get the best! Spend the dough on the mattress and you won't be sorry.
