This bowl really made me want to love it! The food directly on his tray bothers me since he is around 7 months old. I've tried letting him feed himself since he was about 7 months old, but I don't like it. If I use a regular bowl, he lunges it as if it were a football. Due to all that has been going on, my family has been trying to buy things that are more budget-friendly I decided to give it a shot because it looked friendly. My son was unable to get this bowl off of his tray until he had stayed in front of it for just three seconds at the most. *gr>Like any mother, I do believe my son is smart and strong, but this bowl also made it too easy for me to get him to do what I want. *gr>I used the bowl before suctioning it and tested it to make sure it was secured. I still have to remove it from my son. Seeing it makes him want to get it off as soon as possible and so you can see his wheels turn as soon as he sees it. I actually forget he's eating for a little bit (which is a big deal for this fatty) lol
I still feed him from the bowl/straw, but only when he's going to be spoon fed. I was not able to use the bowl as advertised, but it's a pretty bowl nonetheless. You might be able to use this method if your child is calm. While my son sees it as a challenge, I see it as something great.
It's a beautiful bowl, but my almost one-year-old can figure out how to un-lock it something I wish I could do the same for but I am not able to Once you have used it, suction it. There are some people who are just too intelligent for their Although I thought it had a good suction when I tried to lift it up, I realized I wasn't strong enough to lift it. I love the size of the compartments and the color of this bowl besides the fact that I can put it straight into the dishwasher.
The bowl is large enough to keep the contents from spilling over. A white residue can sometimes be left on the surface, but it is easily removed. I bought this bowl for my daughter, and she loves it.
Suction power is not very good. This is not a cheap item, but I bought it to prevent my son from throwing It didn't live up to my expectations. I love this. It has now just become a bowl for him like any other. A hulk baby can't be suctioned enough by the suction. Therefore, I am not giving it that bad a rating, since it could not be a design flaw. My child is very strong, so perhaps he can just rip it off at seven months if he is confident.
There's something about the size, the dividers, and the color of this bowl that I like. We are going to have a lot of grandchildren to enjoy it. This product is also very easy to clean. As it turns out, I had a problem with the suction, but all it took was a lot more water on the bottom to make it stick. As soon as I did that, I never had a problem with it again
This is also really good for weight loss. There is a good amount of volume in the compartments for potion control.
With this, you can easily press down onto a tabletop and it stays in place while my son eats messy foods that he can eat with Cereal and milk are one of his favorite foods, and I love that the whole bowl does not end up on the floor. The mess will still be there as he holds the spoon at crazy angles, and at least one spoonful at a time either goes in his mouth, lands on a table or lands in his lap, but it would still be better than all the food.
The bowl he is eating from is too small for a regularly scheduled meal, even at the age of 12 months. For just one bowl, the price was high as well. I keep it in the hopes of using it one day, but I also purchased stainless steel bowls that I think would be perfect for feeding him from! There are no compartments, but their size and weight are perfect for him along with their ease of use.
I like the fact that it sticks well to the high chair table and does not slide. However, my little guy can still lift it easily. I like how easy it is to clean and use, and the portion sizes are perfect, too.
