A friend of mine has a cat with Cerebellar Hypoplasia, so I bought this for her. A human with cerebral palsy has an injury similar to this. As cats are unable to be steady at mealtime, it can be frustrating and messy for them. We had a great experience with this bowl/mat. Since silicone is a soft material, your cat will be easier on, especially if she tends to "pick" at her food because of I really like this bowl as it cleans up really well.
In addition to not having use of his left arm, he gets frustrated by the movement of the bowls around as he eats. They found this to be the ideal solution to that problem.
He is 7 months old. His little fingers find it easier to pick things up with this bowl that has an edge to push against as he tries to pick them up. This flat sheet of plywood will stay flat even if left unsupported over gaps. The fact that our son enjoys looking in the bowl to see if anything has appeared in it is just an added bonus. I would just like to clarify that this issue only occurs because the bowl is not firmly placed It sticks to the table tightly when it is flat against a table (not over the gap caused by our Fast Chair), so in normal use it would be difficult for little hands to pick up the whole bowl.
For our cats, we use these! Dry food was available to our cats 24/7, but they constantly pushed the dishes around as they ate them, so we would often trip over them or kick them over, sending dry food Those dishes kept getting stuck under the edge of the counters, so they couldn't access all the food. These EZPZ mats do not seem to be genuine. It is made of a totally different material and is of a totally different quality from the one I bought directly from Ezpz's website. The following photo shows you the material and how it will look after it has been washed. I bought a blue one on Amazon, but it has water stains after washing, and the material does not This has a more matte finish and after it dries, it has many water spots on it. It's a mint green one I bought from ezpz directly and it feels better than the black one. EZPZ has it for the same price as Amazon, so I would recommend purchasing directly from them instead of Amazon, so that you don't make a similar purchase mistake. As soon as she finished her meal, my toddler was able to pick this one up as well. We had problems getting it to stick to the counter like the real thing did.
