Questions & Answers

The S1 and the S2 are very different from each other in what ways? While the speed ranges vary, the price difference does not seem to be accounted for by the differences in speed. ?

both the S1 and the S2, and they are basically the same pump with the exception of the S1 being rechargeable (and blue) whereas the S2 is not chargeable, and must be plugged in to work (and It's hard to choose between the two In any case, the freedom from the plug makes the S1 well worth the extra cost. About 3 1/2 to 4 inches I find I am able to get My S1 battery can make it through up to four full pump sessions before it needs to be recharged!

Do you have to use a bottle pump for this, or can you also pump into bags? How well does it work with Medela bottles? Spectra Brand shields are the only ones that you can use. Can you use other shields as well?

It is possible to pump into the Lansinoh bags using the Maymom adapters. When switching between breasts or pausing, I find having a tall glass cup helps when I need a temporary resting place for the partially filled Lansinoh bag. Lansinoh bags work best. But the shapes of other bags do not work as well. In the case of the Maymom adapters, For instance, Ameda bags do not work. I found that using the Dr. Brown 8oz bottles with the caps worked well for pumping into and mixing, to ensure the correct amount of foremilk and hindmilk. The bags are perfect for storing in the freezer, but I prefer the large Dr. Brown bottles to pump and store from work to home. Additionally, the little one is getting to the point that larger bottles are no longer necessary.

Could you let me know what this pump comes with?

Two bottles with tees, two shields for double pumping with tubing, a cable to charge the pump, and 3 bottles, all with teets

I used it for three months and it was great
3/5

I used it for three months and it was great. I just started the warranty process, and it has already been No one is answering the phone for customer service. In the website, it states that the first step to getting a warranty is to send a video explaining what's wrong with the product. It is then time to send in a warranty claim, and they warn in very large You will not be able to make a claim if you send us two!

My warranty claim almost makes me feel like I am causing them a big inconvenience. It seems that they are very unconcerned about motherhood problems such as mastitis, heavy bleeding, engorgement, baby feeding, and not having a pump for two weeks.

I am a mother of twins and a registered nurse who specializes in OB/GYN and breastfeeding It's absolutely amazing and I love it! The pump you are looking at is the one to buy
5/5

You should stop looking for it and buy it instead. Although the review is long, it should answer any questions you have. If you have any, you can ask me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. The twins that I gave birth to by 34 weeks have been doing well. Though they were doing well, they were in the NICU for a while. As a parent of a baby in the NICU, you are super concerned about how much milk they are taking in. It is not clear when they can return home without taking their weight gain minimum and taking their medicine. Because of this, I have pretty much exclusively pumped ever The girl would latch, but I wasn't able to tell how much of the bottle she was getting and she would get tired after a few minutes so she wouldn't take the rest. At first, my baby had breathing problems, and he had to have a tube put in his nose every day for I did not try to nurse him after that because he had to learn how to eat and would become tired. Due to the fact that I needed to feed two and wanted to share my supply, pumping was my only option. My insurance paid for me to use a Medela Lactina pump since I was a preemie. For the first two months I used the Lactina pump, but I wanted something more portable (I bought a car adapter so I could plug it in and pump in the car when we were out shopping for groceries). In order to be at a unified level with my family, I had to cover the Lactina with a blanket, so the sound was muffled and I could pump in the same room my husband and my three-year-old daughter were watching TV. In fact, I studied up on the Medela Freestyle, but managed to find mixed results regarding whether or not I could I did not want to risk my milk supply decreasing when I had twins. The pump cost about half what I paid, so I took my chances and bought it using gift cards. I figured it would be worth the risk even if it didn't work. The best decision you could ever make. Then and now. This is awesomeness Please note
The Lactina is quite noisy compared to this device. There is no way to tell how good it is to other pumps, but it will be nice to have it at work and being able to speak on Please note
You can carry it pretty easily. Initially, I wanted something that was clippable to my belt and I could walk around with, but that is the Freestyle, so I was unwilling to take a risk. I actually think about putting a ribbon through the handle and wearing it around my neck because it's so lightweight. When I pump, my husband is always away and my older daughter always has something to do. Even if I didn't put it on with my hands, I managed to hold it. Free pumping bra (Simple Wishes brand - purchase that one too) and the ability to set it up on the kitchen counter to prepare bottles, lunches, etc. I haven't cooked dinner yet, but I may do so soon. Please note
A nice feature of Nightlight is that it has two brightness Please note
Having a timer on your website is a great For most people, 15 minutes to 30 minutes is plenty of time to pump There are only about 20 minutes to have twin babies, but most people In my case, it shuts off after 30 minutes since that is the amount of time I pump. Previously, I would set a timer on my phone to wake me up, but now I don't need to do that so much. Please note
A nice feature of the program is its massage feature. There is almost a pulsing sound when this pump creates At first, it seemed weird since the other pump didn't do it, but in the end, it made pumping a lot easier. "Massage" is designed to speed up the pump and As soon as you have letdown, you are supposed to stop the massage. don't like it. I like the fastest pumping speed. Having said that, twins are also quite rare. A memory feature is available for your device. If you change the normal or massage settings, the pump will automatically go back to those settings. Please note
Controlling the vacuum - Depending on which level I am using, the pump is either at level 2 or level There are 12 levels in the game. This is amazing. Almost all nurses I know have at least level 12, so I wonder who else would need it. Then again, perhaps someone with inverted nipples would like it. It is possible I will have to go to the roof if my battery runs out. A few quirks Please note
My first time using the pump, it took me a long time (probably 12 hours) to fully recharge the battery. As far as I can tell, it can also run plugged in, which is true, but I don't know if it actually uses the battery when plugged in or not. There is a possibility that I am mistaken. Please note
While pumping with the nightlight feature, your battery will drain faster, and you will likely not get the full three hours of pumping possible. This is probably not a problem for most people but worth considering. Please note
You can buy the bottles and pump kit for a very low price. It would probably be my biggest grievance about the entire process. It has to be a high quality pump if we are spending so much money on it. bad, so this is pretty normal. The majority of women would have to lean forward to get the milk to drop when sitting upright too, and this is typical of most pump kits. The angled flanges from Pumpin' Pal looked like they would have been perfect in place of the removable ones from Lactina. (You should also buy those. I also purchased an adapter kit so I could use the Playtex bottles I was using to pump directly into the drops The liners are in place. It will get gross eventually, no matter what you do. (Cleaner this way. It is important that you are paying attention to your tubing when you do not use the backflow valves. have moisture in one of the tubes on the end of the system, but am not sure how it got there. After a couple of seconds of blowing it out with a hair dryer, all is gone. There is nothing special about the tubing, and you can easily replace it with something you can purchase at the hardware store. In addition, it would be easy to use another pump kit's tubing, which I may do so that I could directly add Even though the "cons" I listed here may seem like a lot to you, to me they weren't enough to knock me down After two weeks of using it, I love it, and I have not noticed a drop in supplies. As soon as something changes, this review will be revised, but I do not anticipate this This pump is for sale, so go buy it. Don't be afraid to put it on your registry or wish list. You won't regret it. The links to the products I mentioned are below This is *br.

This pump is all you'll ever One of the best pumps ever (only one I've ever used but will only full-time working mother
5/5

As an employee, I was lucky to get 13 weeks of maternity leave. Having breast implants (in the muscle area) was a concern when I was pregnant. When my baby was born (via csection), she latched and we were all set. The first 3 weeks that I breastfed were the most difficult for me. 1 is the next concept I introduced Each day, you should pump two times. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get much done- This was supposed to happen, but it was still unexpected. From the 5- to the 10-mile mark At the 6 week mark, I began to pump and stash more often. In my deep freezer, I had 800oz of solid food by the time I returned to work 13 weeks after giving birth. As of now, my baby is 23 weeks old, and I still have 1750oz of milk in my deep freezer for her to breastfeed. You will fall in love with this pump! My rechargeable battery allows me the flexibility to pump and do chores while someone else drives, and I can even pump in the backseat of a car while someone In the past 20 hours I have been separated from my baby for up to twenty hours, and I have been amazed at how well this hand pump works! Any of the other brands would not come close to the quality of this brand. In fact, I have even convinced some of my second-time moms to use this pump (since it is free with insurance) and they have loved it and thanked me a hundred times The attached pictures are of my frozen milk stash and a photo of my morning pump (after the baby girl was fed). Thank you for reading and have a great baby feeding time! TRICARE provided me with a full refund after receiving my receipt and reimbursement application. I purchased the pump out of pocket and mailed my receipt and reimbursement application to them. Buying through a retailer will only give you the S2 (which does not charge).

This is amazing! The truth is, I have never seen anything like this
5/5

It has been a relief to have a weight lifted off This is amazing. The truth is, I have never seen anything like this. The pump you describe surprised me. Why wasn't I aware of it earlier? Oh, and it's portable, lightweight, and comfy The milk is doubled as well! The fact that insurance companies just give out inferior pumps when there are so many better ones available is almost criminal. As a mother, I was concerned about not producing enough milk while returning to work after the birth of my second child. When I had my first, I had to pump 6 times a day at work to make enough milk It's now time to let go of those worries. The whole thing is Images prove what we say. On the Spectra, you get 10 minutes of total comfort and quiet, while on the PISA you get 20 minutes of loud wrenching and pulling.

This is a great tool once it works
3/5

It only takes a couple of months for them to die. In a nutshell, Pumps like this are the best pumps on the market when they work correctly! As far as the rhythm, suction and speed are concerned, it is the best. When I use it, I get the most out of I've also had the Medela Symphony in the hospital, a PISA, an Ameda Purely Yours, and an Evenflo, but none of them compare to this one. with these pumps is that they die over time, and there is no manufacturer warranty applicable It has now been 9 months since two of them have died. The screen turns off when you turn off the machine, but it will continue to pump until the battery dies, and then it will never turn back on again. In addition to the second pump, I have now decided to purchase a third one.
