There is a lot to like about these products.
Let's start by looking at what motivated us to choose Kiinde over the other alternatives. As much as I know, Kiinde storage bags have twist on caps as the only storage bags that have them. These caps are better than any locking bags of the "zip lock" type, in my opinion. As her work will be at her home, my girlfriend will carry milk bags from home to her job. The caps in this category are more secure than those of their As an alternative, try Medela bottles with screw on caps that are smaller but still work. The product is not suitable for freezing. we have to round up the milk and transfer it into bags again? If the Kiinde water bottle system allows you to direct pump, just like Medela bottles, then there is no reason to do that. The direct pump is the next step. The pumps we use are the Medela pumps and the bottles are Dr. Brown. In order to night feed, my g/f pumps directly into the Dr. Brown bottles. As a result, contamination rates are reduced and we don't have to wash more containers, saving us time and labor. In this instance, the pump is directly pumped into bags, and then the bags are put directly Twist locks play a major role here as well. Perhaps you have seen the Ameda and Medela It is definitely better to have a screw-in attachment than an alternative. In addition, Kiinde allows you to attach your own brand of nipples to the bags for direct feeding. Therefore, no transferring is required, fewer things have to be washed, and fewer things will get contaminated. For us, the only downside is we prefer Dr. Brown bottles, so that without the antibacterial cream we can't use the nipples The bottle has features that are characteristic of colic. Due to the fact that Dr. Brown bottles are compatible with Medela personalfit connectors, you end up with 2 sets A Medela bag to a Kiinde bag, and a Kiinde bag to a Dr. Brown napple. Medela personalfit connectors will be used for both. It is unlikely that I will use the bottles any time soon since I have not used them yet. Now I'm not sure why it's not 5 stars, so let's discuss the slightly less than This bottle warmer keeps bottles warm. There is no problem with it, almost all the time. We've been using it every day for a month now. In three of the three times that the timer hasn't started counting down after being set, the timer has not been able to This basically means that the warmer is on constantly. Upon returning from changing the diaper, I discovered that the bottle was extremely warm and the timer had not moved. Hence, the bottle warmer doesn't even warm up a 4 oz bottle containing 2 oz of milk in a reasonable amount of time. There is more time than indicated in the chart. Therefore, you ought to start the warmer before changing the diaper so that you do not remain standing there with a changed yet still hungry The last bit comes from the shelf in the freezer. There are not that many bags it can hold, but it can hold as much as It only makes sense to use the shelf when the bags are first frozen. It's likely you want the bags horizontal so they freeze very evenly, rather than a large bulge along the bottom if they are stored The bags can be moved to another container like a freezer tray as soon as they are frozen, so there is still room for more Is it worth it for you if Here's your chance to buy it! This is an investment that you will not regret. I cannot emphasize how awful zip lock bags are - just think about how many times you've used them. The twist lock and direct pump are sure to be appealing to you. **edit #2 ** Tommee Tippee also makes a screw cap milk storage bag, I recently discovered (7/15/2016). Since the last update, I have experienced a few more instances of the bottle warmer timer freezing. During one instance, the timer actually clicked off and then froze after there was 1 minute left. A very, very annoying situation. Added an edit Quite some time has passed since we finished the warmer, but we are still using it. The rack in the freezer has not been used much since then. Our milk storage bag size recently increased to the larger 8 oz size. My favorite bags have screw caps and I still love them. In contrast, the larger bags are difficult to put into the freezer rack because they are wider. I just don't feel comfortable with it. As long as it isn't frozen, you can squeeze it in, but once it is frozen, it's next to impossible to remove. When we first pulled it from the freezer, all we did was move it to the top shelf, but we stopped using it because it took up too much space.

This is an excellent system for moms who work
It has been 3 months now that we are using the Kiinde Twist system, and so far, it has worked well. I am back at work full time now, and I am fortunate that I can pump 3 times a day while In order to connect my pump to the adapters, I use a Spectra S1 pump. I appreciate that using the direct pumping is convenient, but the adapter connection at the Spectra is a little bit loose. A typical day for me is 4 pouches filled. My only complaint is that the adaptor fell off from the pump one time (out of the 150 times I've used it). This led to me losing The steps to measuring and storing milk are as follows *Following my pumping at work, I make 4 4oz pouches of my pumped milk at home. There is no question that many people complain about the inaccurate volume markings on the pouches, but the truth is that many bottles are marked inaccurately Since I weigh everything on a kitchen scale, I have the near-er assumption that a fluid ounce is equal to a mass ounce. As long as you remain consistent, the accuracy of the conversion doesn't matter that much. (Don't forget to subract the weight of the empty pouch from the total! 1) I mark each pouch with its date and volume, then It's complained that the pouches can't be stored flat by other reviewers, but I see that as a positive since I can stand them up when I store them. the photo) I put the oldest frozen pouches nearest the edge so I can use them first. When my organizer is full, I place the newest frozen pouches at the back. In addition to allowing me to see what sizes are available, storing them upright also makes it easy to see how many of each size I have. I'll put a pouch in the fridge if it doesn't make 4 ounces at the end of the day. It will take me about five nights to pump enough to fill my bag to four ounces then freeze it. It might also be a good idea to keep a few smaller pouches in the freezer for maintenance The feeding process consists of the following When I am physically present, I breastfeed my daughter. She's only ever taken a bottle from anyone else. It has been great to hear everyone's feedback! Since my daughter took the Twist bottle with active latch nipple, she has never taken another bottle. In order to prevent gas build up in the pouches, squeeze out the air before putting them on the nipple. In situations where bottles are mostly horizontal, such as those used in paced bottle feeding methods, this is particularly important. There has never been a need to use my warmer because it warms up under a faucet quickly. We were never exposed to the need because the pouches warm up quickly and nicely under It is so convenient to use these bottles at our daycare because of the direct feed. Four pouches per day, four nibbles per day, and one bottle per day are provided. Because we don't have to make bottles for my daughter, we save time in the morning when packing her things. It's very fast to clean up at the end of the day, and I feel bad about keeping so much waste in the landfill, because I recycle the bags at least. I'd like to point out one thing The pouches have been lengthened by Kiinde a few months ago, so they stick out at the bottom when the bottles are opened. They provide this rubber spacer ring on the bottom of the bottle that you put on the bottom in order to place the bottle on a flat surface. When you switch out the pouches you have to keep putting the belt on and taking it off the whole time. According to Kiinde customer service, a fix will be made to this pouch design Despite the recurring cost of pouches, this system has allowed me to exclusively breastfeed my daughter while working full time. While the cost of the pouches is higher than other solutions, the time saved has been worth it for me in the end.

The bag system is great, but they're not as sterile as they should be
My favorite part of this system is the user interface. However, it does not work perfectly. My experience has shown that these bags are extremely unhygienic! When I look inside the bags to ensure no dirt or plastic is present, I also check the edges of the bags for any signs of damage. The review I am writing and others similar to mine are very important to me, so I'm hoping Kiinde takes them into serious consideration. The review will be updated once the cleanliness of the facility is improved.
