Yes! That was the sole reason I purchased it! It is extremely effective! The odor has been completely sealed! You can also use regular trash bags from your kitchen!
Yes, we've had ours for nearly two years and there's some rust on the inside of the rim. In addition, I recently discovered black mold inside the can's top and sliding door mechanism. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get rid of it or if I'll have to throw the pail away in its entirety. I'd rather not throw this away because a new one costs $70. My wife, on the other hand, was terrified when she noticed the black mold.
Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Ubbi diaper pail. To keep small hands out of the pail, it has a child lock. Thanks!
I'm afraid I'm not a big fan of cloth diapers.

For our nursery, I ordered it in pink. I was hesitant to spend so much money on a diaper pale, but after reading positive reviews, I decided to give it a shot. The first one I received was severely dented, so I requested a replacement, which arrived with a large dent on the side as well, and when I tried to get a refund, it kept saying I would be refunded $0. So, at this point, I've decided to keep it, and I've knocked the large dent out of the side as best I could and placed it against her dresser to hide it. I haven't had it long enough to know if it keeps odors at bay, but I'll report back once I've used it. Another thing that irritated me was the lack of instructions on how to place the bag inside; I was able to figure it out on my own. However, having those would have been preferable.
After a while, there's no way to get rid of the strong odor! It does a good job of keeping the odor in when it's closed, though. However, when you open the lid to dispose of a diaper, it's a different story. The odor would almost knock me off my feet, and it would linger in the room for at least 10 minutes. I'd like to point out that we put all of the poo diapers in a disposable bag before putting them in there, so they're double insulated! It was excruciating to change the bag. It's extremely difficult to remove the bag because it swells and suctions to the inside. in the meantime. . . It would stink to high heaven! My daughter is now 19 months old, and my husband and I finally gave up and threw the thing away a few months ago! We tried bleaching and every other cleaning method we could think of, but it didn't work! We now have the diaper genie expressions, which we adore!.
We simply use regular grocery bags. We had it for nearly three months before realizing we needed to air it out. I simply left it outside for a few hours and it returned to me smelling fresh. Just don't overcrowd it. If you try to squeeze a bag out of a certain spot, it will get caught and rip. However, with my three-month-old, we can usually go three days or longer without having to empty it. And, once again, there are no odor issues.
It's ideal for my room and kitchens because it effectively eliminates odors and reduces the number of flies and gnats. 100% would recommend to friends and family members It will fit in a standard trash bag. It's a little on the small side, but I'd buy another if they made a larger size.
It stinks to high heaven. When the little door is closed, the pail locks in the smell, but as soon as you open it to throw another diaper away, it's game over. It fills the room with odors and lingers for a while, even after you've emptied it. It's a garbage can with a sturdy lid. That's all I've got to say on the subject. I put in some air fresheners and even tried the whole "put baking soda in a bag inside it with some essential oils" thing, but it didn't help much. The price was a major letdown for me. I can't return it right now, and I don't want to give it away or donate it because. It has a strong poop odor to it. Diaper Genie seems to make more sense, so I'll give it a shot.
After months of attempting to make it work, we finally decided to discard it. It's nice that you don't need special bags, but I'd rather spend more money on something that actually works. When we tried a variety of bags, we found that taking them out when they were full was extremely difficult, and some even ripped open. It also felt wasteful because we could only fill half of a standard garbage bag in this, requiring frequent replacement. We switched to a regular kitchen trash can with a lid, and it's been a huge improvement!.
We have all three, and I like that this one is a little smaller because it cuts down on the amount of time we have to take it out. You may have to make more trash trips, but it will be worth it once your home no longer smells like a port-a-potty. potty. br>br>The pink is a lovely shade, and the simple locking mechanism has proven to be sufficient to deter small hands. The seal around the opening even works better than expected at preventing odors from escaping. I would strongly suggest the Ubbi, but keep in mind that nothing will be able to prevent the inevitable odor!.
This diaper pail is fantastic! The lid seals in the odor, and there's enough space for a few days' worth of diapers! Taking out the trash is simple thanks to the lightweight design. And because of its small size, it can be placed anywhere in her room. It's the ideal pink color for my baby's nursery. We don't use a liner to save money (because we don't need to). Great design, great buy!.
