Questions & Answers

Is this compatible with the original Munchkin pail, which used snap, seal, and toss bags?

In the original pail, I used them. It works, but I have the impression that the lid did not close completely (just a smidgeon). They aren't designed for the original, but you could make them work. It's not the first time I've attempted it.

I could be an idiot, but how do you get the bag out when it fills up - Aside from cutting it with scissors and knotting it at the bottom, what else can you do with it?

LOL! My boyfriend noticed how I cut and tied the bags for the longest time, laughed at me, and showed me the pail's cutting edge.

Is this going to fit my arm? I can't seem to locate any ring bags that will fit that! ?

I have a ring bag pail as well, and these do not fit, so I returned them. I found the ring bags at Walmart for a very low price.

Does this fit the Munchkin pail from the beginning? 2009 was the year?

The Munchkin Arm would like to wish you a pleasant afternoon. The Munchkin Arm is incompatible with Hammer Diaper Pail Refill Rings. Hamer Diaper Pail is a type of diaper pail that is used to store diapers

Here are a few pointers to help you get the most out of your storage space
4/5

We've been using these refills with the Munchkin Step diaper pail, and they've worked out great. The bags themselves have a light fragrance to them that I don't mind or dislike, but it's not strong enough to bother you unless you're extremely sensitive to scents (which some people are). br>br>My biggest gripe with these refills is that there's no way to tell when you're getting close to the end of a tube. I frequently pull a new section down only to discover that there was only about a foot left, resulting in a squandered bag. br>br>Here are a few pointers: br>1) Don't believe the company's estimate of how long these refills will last. Is it really a year? Not by a long shot. Perhaps in a perfect world, with only a few diapers per day, all newborn size, and as many as possible crammed in. Even so, that's pushing it. We went through the entire set of refills in about four months. br>2) To get the most diapers in each bag, when the pail is full, hold the bag above the diapers and press the contents down to compact them a bit before cutting the tube to create the next "bag," and you'll often get about 6-8% more diapers. 10 inches of space at the top (press THROUGH the bag rather than reaching INTO it). Before you seal the bag, squeeze out the majority of the air. This will help you save space. br>3) When using tip 2, hold your breath for a few seconds, especially when squeezing the air out of the bag, because the "fragrance" that comes out isn't exactly floral. 4) When beginning and ending a bag, tie the knots as close to the bag's ends as possible - However, if the ends are left TOO short, the knot may come undone, which is not fun. br>br>They aren't perfect, but when it comes to diaper disposal, what is "perfect"? They serve us well.

Come up with your own idea
3/5

These do exactly what they claim to. Despite the fact that they are grossly overpriced. It says 546 diapers, which may be correct for newborn diapers, but we went through one of these in less than two weeks with size two, and I can only imagine it getting worse as the diapers get bigger. I'm not paying nearly $6 per month any longer. I saved the plastic dispenser and plan to use a regular drawstring trash bag that lasts a week and costs me $ in the future. Instead, use 07 for a week's worth of fun. So $. 14 vs $6. It's well worth the 3 minutes it took to set it up because now that I have 6 empty rings, I can make enough diapers for more than a month in 15 minutes. You can see how simple it is to do it by watching it on YouTube.

The product is fantastic, but there is no indication of when it will run out
4/5

We. Love. These. Things. And we're not the type to spend money on such things - We'd rather figure out our own "hack" and save money that way. However, we all know that adding work to your life when you have a new baby (along with an older child) isn't the best idea, so we took the easy way out and used these. Buying the Munchkin brand diaper pail was one of the best decisions I've ever made. They're fantastic. They're simple to use, and they keep the stench inside the bag rather than floating around the room stinking up the place. (As a side note, after cutting the top end of the bag and getting ready to tie it off, I squished it to get all of the air out so I could tie it, and was blasted in the face with the stench of several days' worth of dirty diapers. ) Gross. But the best part is that I didn't even notice it was there until I opened the bag to press the air out. That's how good they are. ) The only drawback, and the reason for one fewer star, is that there is no indication when the supply of plastic bags is running out. After emptying the pail, you're pulling the bag out to tie it off, and it's suddenly gone. And you're left with just enough of a bag to prevent you from using it - There isn't enough to fill the pail all the way to the bottom. You can try, but the first diaper you put in there will cause the bag to fall out of its holder and become useless. It requires some kind of indicator that it is about to run out so that you can plan accordingly. Perhaps something similar to the paper used in cash registers.

Playtex Diaper Genie is compatible with this product
3/5

These are what we use in our Playtex Diaper Genie Complete, and they're fantastic! The bags, on the other hand, are quite thin. We used a Hefty trash bag while waiting for our refills and were blown away by how much more it could hold because, unlike these, it could stretch to fill the empty air in the diaper pail. The cheapest diaper pail bags available, but after our refill, we'll probably just use trash bags.

This was purchased for the Munchkins step diaper pail and will most likely be purchased again when my baby is older and eating solids

She's only two months old right now, and these sell out far too quickly to be worthwhile. br>br>Benefits: br>br>
- Plastic is a strong material that can be used for a variety of purposes. To cut down on waste, I stuffed the bags full and never had to worry about the bags ripping. br>- Simple to set up – Simply remove the ring from the bag and place it in the pailbr>- Cutting off the amount you want and tying off the end for a new bag is a simple way to replace the bags. br>- Can choose how many diapers to put in the bag before removing itbr>- a pleasant odorbr>br>a disadvantagebr>br>a disadvantagebr>a disadvantagebr>a disadvantage
- It doesn't hold as many diapers as you might expect. Mine is filled in the order of 1- Diapers for a newborn for two days.
- Expensive — in three weeks, I used up two refillsbr>- There is no indication when the bag is running out, so you may end up with a small section at the end that is wasted. br>br>I can see how these would be useful for when the baby begins to have smelly diapers due to solid foods. This way, I can tie the bags and discard diapers on a daily basis without feeling guilty about wasting garbage bags.

Up to 272 diapers don't last long! I am completely satisfied with the product
4/5

The plastic is very tough and long-lasting. When I remove it, I don't have to be concerned about it breaking or spilling. It's just that you don't feel like you're getting your money's worth. These refills don't last long enough to last a full box of diapers before they need to be replaced. Although it is a necessary requirement, it comes at a price. Please keep this in mind.
