The readings are erratic and inaccurate. My son's temperature was 104 degrees one second, then 96 degrees the next! What a waste of money and space in the landfill. What a knucklehead!.
When compared to a temporal (touch) thermometer and a 20“old fashioned” glass stick thermometer,
100% accurate thermometer. br>(Yes, I still have an old glass stick thermometer stashed away in my safe. ) It can't be replaced. In my opinion, this is the gold standard for thermometers. )br>As soon as I got it, I started following the instructions about: br>***acclimating it to the environment**
As well as forbr>***first use**
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!.
I really like this. I'm a nurse, and it's a fantastic addition to my nursing kit. It fits perfectly in my hand and comes with a fantastic case to keep it safe in my bag. I haven't found any inaccuracies, but I do have to're-check' from time to time. Take the temperature because if your position on the head is off, such as if the person turns their head slightly or if they are wearing a bandana or something, it may not read correctly. I strongly advise! Infrared Thermometer by Amplin.
I'd give it zero stars if I had the option. This was bought for my new baby girl. She fell ill at the age of three months. I noticed she was getting warmer, so I continued to take her temperature with this, and it read 97 degrees. I finally took her rectal temperature on the second day, and she had a fever. The temperature readings differed by 8 degrees. I'm glad I didn't count on this thermometer to tell me the temperature.
Finally, a fantastic thermometer has been created. It works great if you follow the instructions. It gets an A from me. My husband, too, was blown away. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br We didn't use it very often. Batteries have been replaced, and memories have been wiped clean. It's still not working.
, to my surprise, the buttons were stuck as if this was a returned product Oh, I just haven't had time to return it Oh, I just haven't had time to return it It looks like I'm stuck with it now unless Amazon contacts me I will no longer be ordering medical electronic or pneumatic devices from them in the future!.
It terrified me to death! When my baby didn't have a fever, he claimed she did. I called my doctor's after-hours emergency line and was about to take her to the ER, but he had me double-check with a rectal thermometer, and everything was fine.
When compared to hospital RR, three to four degrees are off. Make sure you don't throw your money away.
