I'm not sure if it's FDA approved, but it does have the CE seal, which means it's been approved by the European Union. It has a reputation for being far stricter in terms of regulation than any other, so it's a safe bet.

We've tried the NoseFrida and an electric booger sucker device in our house to help my son with stuffy noses. While both worked and had their advantages and disadvantages, the NoseFrida was difficult to clean (after gook got stuck in the tube) and the electric nose suction piece we had, while better than the NoseFrida in our opinion, died, forcing us to discard it. With our second child on the way and due in just a few weeks, I felt compelled to start looking for a new nose sucker device, one that was perhaps different from the two we had used with our son previously. This product first appeared at that time. Now, this is a small device, but don't underestimate its ability to suck all that GOOK out. I tried the suction on my son the other night, and while it didn't make his nose suffocate, it did help to clear out some of the stuff that had become stuck (if you know what I mean). Cleaning the device was much easier than I expected, possibly due to the vessel's shape. Overall, I'm pleased with this product and am looking forward to using it on our newborn, who will arrive in a few weeks.
My third and fourth babies were both stuffy within days of birth, and this aspirator saved the day. It's far superior to the standard hospital bulb syringes (or any other oral-drug delivery system). For newborns, a nasal aspirator (famous for sucking up snot). (One of my babies was even subjected to a medical examination for rapid breathing, which turned out to be normal. ) After I sucked some hard little goobers out of his nose, he finally resolved. It's the little things that can make a big difference. )br>br>The device's advantages are:br>- Its tip is much smaller than most aspirators, and in my experience, it fits tiny noses better. br>- Controlling suction with your mouth appears to be a lot gentler than blindly suctioning with a bulb syringe (though you can remove the tube and use it as a traditional bulb syringe if that's what you want). br>- It is clear and disassembles for easy, thorough cleaningbr>br>Because my older toddler still uses his on a regular basis (as a bulb syringe and in conjunction with an aeresol saline spray), I purchased a new kit for my newborn. The tiny saline ampules are ideal for newborn stuffed animals. If you're looking for an older baby, I wouldn't bother with them. br>br>I have no affiliation with the company, but this is one of the few items I'd consider a must-have for a new baby!.
This can be used in a variety of ways. It is, first and foremost, extremely simple to clean. It can be used to suck stubborn boogies and snot out (with a filter), as a regular squeeze aspirator for quick use, or as a neti pot to squeeze saline through one nostril and have everything cleared out the other if your baby is sick and congested. I used it on my first child and was so pleased with how helpful it was that I made sure I had it on hand for my second.
When our Nose Frida went missing, we bought this, and it appears to work just as well, if not better, than the original. The strange thing is that you think you're not getting anything out, but then the bulb turns on! And it appears to be working because my son's nose is clear after using it. So I guess I'm saying it doesn't require as much suction power to be effective. br>br>I gave it four stars because cleaning it out without water is ridiculously difficult. I was able to blow it out with the Nose Frida, but not with this one. Even when the hose is removed and the bulb is blown directly into. When you have to use it while traveling and aren't near a sink for a while, it's kind of gross.
I love Frida baby products, but this one is especially good for small noses. It fits well inside, not just on the outside, of my mini's nose, giving it more suction power. It's also simple to clean because it comes apart into three pieces, making it simple to remove the boogies from the smaller pieces. It also includes a mesh carrying pouch and saline solution.
It's a world of difference from what we were using before. When we have to use these, our baby screams and fights us, which is terrible, but this one does the job so much faster that it isn't nearly as bad. Because the end of the frida that went to his nose was too large, it hurt his nose. This one also seems to make things easier because you don't have to suck as hard as you do with the others.
If you have small children who dislike having their nose suctioned, the suction power is ideal. I also like that it's transparent so I can see what's coming out and that it's simple to clean. I like that it disassembles so I can sanitize it by soaking it in hot water; it's much better than the Freida, especially for the price!.
I tried making do with other aspirators, but they all pale in comparison. It was necessary to purchase a replacement. Anything else isn't going to work for me.
