BUY THIS RIGHT NOW if your child despises taking medicine
5/5

Okay, this is my very first Amazon review. This should be significant given the fact that I almost certainly keep Amazon afloat on my own. ) My six-month-old son is currently suffering from RSV. It's been a depressing experience. To stay comfortable, she requires pain medication on a regular basis. That has one major flaw. She despises medicine in any form, no matter how tasty it is. When she sees the syringe approaching her, she'll begin to cry. We even tried putting juice in it to break the association she'd made between the syringe and a bad taste. She was still a drama queen, spitting and nearly choking on her food. It had been three a. m. for quite some time. I'd spent the entire night with her. I was desperate, so I went online to look for ideas on how to give a baby medicine, and this fun little device came up. "What the heck?" I thought. " and went out and bought it. I even paid for it to be delivered the next day. To be honest, I didn't have high hopes. I didn't think she'd be duped. The first time I put a smidgeon of it in her mouth, she spit it out and vowed never to use a binky again just to avoid that booby trap. Well, I'm happy to report that this device has proven to be a lifesaver for me!! It hasn't eliminated all of the resistance to giving her medicine; there are still times when she notices what's going on and tries to spit it out, but it dispenses it to the back of the mouth, making this much more difficult. It claims to bypass the taste buds, which it must do because, after the initial shock of "what is coming out of my binky?," most people forget about it. " She annihilates the rest of them without even putting up a fight. Today, I was able to give her a full dose of ibuprofen without any resistance! This is a huge step forward for us. Gone are the days when you squirt a little into her cheek and then blow on her face to make her swallow. For both of us, it was a traumatic experience. I believe she now views the syringe differently. When she sees it, she no longer bursts into tears and spits. Thank you so much, Fridababy! We now have one less thing to worry about during a time that has been MISERABLE and stressful for us. After about a month of use, I had to update. My baby is now able to take medicine without difficulty! This is one of my favorite baby products. Buy it!.

It's a brilliant product that just needs a few tweaks
4/5

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this. My two-month-old is required to take a medication twice daily, at a specific time before eating. It goes without saying that juggling this with naptimes was a challenge. I had to wake him up to get his meds and then hope he'd fall back asleep until it was time for him to eat. The pacifier is fantastic! br>br> He took it without issue the first two days, and I gently pushed the meds in with the syringe provided, but it would get stuck, and I would push in too much, causing him to choke. I switched to the pharmacy's syringe, which worked flawlessly. (It has the rubber on the inside, as shown in the photo. ) He sucks the pacifier, and the medicine is naturally drawn in because the syringe slides and is drawn in. Now I just give him the pacifier and he takes his meds without waking up.

The best purchase I've ever made
5/5

I only got it yesterday, but I'm already in love with it. Reflux medicine is required twice daily for my two-month-old. I ordered this paci to try to help him get the full dose of medicine because the medicine tastes awful and he spits out the majority of it every time. It performs admirably. It's as if he doesn't realize he's being medicated; it's well worth the money. Not only do I no longer have to deal with a sticky mess, but I also have peace of mind knowing that he is receiving all of the medication he requires. And when your baby isn't gaining weight as expected due to reflux, you want to do everything you can to assist them. I have yet to be disappointed by the Fridababy brand.

For the GERD/reflux baby, this is a game changer
5/5

For my GERD/reflux newborn baby, this was a game changer. We fought with her taking her meds every day to the point where I was in tears trying to get the syringe that came with her Zantac syrup into her cheek to get her to take her meds. She has a lot of pain in her esophagus from milk coming back up all of the time, and we fought with her taking her meds to the point where I was in tears trying to get the syringe that came with her Zantac syrup This fits the regular syringe we got from Walgreens with her prescription; you do not have to use the syringe that it comes with (most doctors recommend using the syringe you get at the pharmacy to ensure the dose is accurate anyway). With this, she actually SUCKS THE MEDS OUT OF THE SYRINGE (caps required to express my elation), and I can just remove the syringe part and plug the plunger, and she keeps pacifying herself while absorbing the meds rather than dribbling them all over the place. It appears to keep her from spitting up any of the medications, so I know the dosage is correct. One suggestion is this: Give meds 15 minutes before their regular feed so they'll be hungry and want to nurse (unless your meds must be given at a specific time, such as with food, as prescribed by a doctor). br>br>I'd like to respond to a few comments about the negative reviews that made me skeptical at first but which I now think are a little silly. br>Selective choking: If your baby isn't sucking the meds out of the syringe like mine, you'll need to insert the pacifier into their cheek like any other syringe, because shoving it down their throat while they're inhaling is dangerous. This seems like common sense to me, as you wouldn't shoot a syringe of meds into your baby's throat without a pacifier. A few reviewers must not have read the instructions, which clearly state that they should point it into their cheek. br>br>Difficulty in putting the pacifier back in after the meds have been given out: I'm not sure what to make of this; I have a wiggly baby, and the attached plug has never failed to fit into the pacifier while it's in her mouth - When she's in full wiggle mode, it may take a few extra hands, but it's worth it to ensure she's still sucking happily while the meds take effect. Attach the syringe to the pacifier: br>br> Although some reviews claim that the pacifier does not attach well to the syringe, I have had no such issues. I always put the syringe in before giving her the pacifier so I don't have to fiddle with it while she's sucking. To attach, simply place the syringe in its small hole and twist slightly to seal it. Some people complain about how "floppy" the Pacifier is: My one-month-old daughter operates on the 0-keyboard. In terms of firmness, I can't tell the difference between this pacifier and the silicone Soothie Pacifiers that I've been using for three months. Perhaps some of the other reviewers are using a firmer pacifier - The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends using one-piece silicone pacifiers to prevent them from breaking off in your child's mouth and choking, as well as in case your child has a latex allergy, and this one meets both of those criteria - Soothie pacifiers are similar to this.

It's fantastic! At the age of four months, my son was diagnosed with epilepsy
5/5

For a long time, we had difficulty administering medications to him, as he was taking multiple oral medications throughout the day. br>br>We were blown away when we finally found this product and tried it at home! He's been using the MediFrida pacifier for over 6 weeks and has been taking all of his oral liquid medications without any problems. We love it so much that we bought three of them!.
