Selected User Reviews For OTR Tomahawk 6 Ply 25-10.00-12

I purchased these tires directly from OTR and they are very good
5/5

They were the first of their tires that I tried. They have a great look to them, and the land-to-sea/side-wall ratio is perfect. They're not as skinny as they appear in photos. I mounted them on a Kubota RTV that we use on the ranch. Every day, we put 5 to 10 miles on them, and they dry out to a rock-hard road with no gravel. They perform admirably at low speeds on extreme hills with 8 and 10 inch stone, and they also perform admirably in mud and loose terrain. I wouldn't recommend them for driving at high speeds. I wouldn't put them up front on my Renegade 800X, but they'd look great in the back. I have two more food ones, and tread wear on this tire is minimal. As a result, I'm going to try them as a rear hill climb/"mountain" tire for the Ren. br> Speeds of more than 55 or 60 mph, at least in the front, would not be their strong suit. However, the rear would be an intriguing option. They're light enough to spin in that manner. Mine did not require any balancing (at least not yet). On hard-pan, there was a small amount of tread "slap" that would be more noticeable on a lighter machine. br>The Kubota I have weighs around 3200 pounds with all the equipment, and we regularly loaded it with another 900 pounds without a trailer. If you put these on an 800 pound machine, I'm sure you'll get a completely different experience than the one I'm about to describe. There would be a push from the front, which would necessitate a change in driving style. br>From driving at 2 MPH over 6 inch rip-rap, both rear tire sidewalls on these gave up. rap and an 8-inch pointed stone at random I was able to plug the tears in a variety of places, so it wasn't much of a surprise. Several times, with plugs hanging out the sidewalls, I ran them for another couple hundred miles. We most likely exceeded their spec by a factor of a dozen. I was so taken aback that I took photographs, but I can't seem to locate them to send to you. Overall, the tire performs admirably when driven at a reasonable speed. Regrettably, I must return to work. As a result, I'm not going to buy another set for the time being. Instead, I'm switching to a DOT truck tire, which has a higher load rating. Because I don't mind tipping over, these would be ideal for mudding, rock crawling, snow, or sand. Take a chance. I don't think you'll have any regrets. br>I'm going to give it five stars because this is my first review, and I don't want to be "that" guy. There is no such thing as a perfect tire. However, if you require a high-quality one, You will not be disappointed if you choose the right vehicle for your driving conditions.
