Selected User Reviews For Michelin Commander II Radial Tire - 240/40R18 79V
It lasted about two thousand miles longer than the original Bridgestone. On my Yamaha Stryker, this is my second Michelin Commander II tire. My only gripe is that it does not come in my original size of 210/40r18. br>I had hoped to get 10,000 miles out of this tire, but the longer it lasts, the less traction it has on the road. This tire should be on your cruiser if you value your skin more than your wallet. br>8k miles of solid traction, smooth ride, and great wet handling and braking means more than just long life. br>If you value your skin more than your wallet, this tire should be on your cruiser.
But, in all seriousness, shipping was much faster than anticipated. They arrived in the mail twelve hours after I placed my order. br>br>As for the tires, I installed them on a 2007 V-Sport. Rod. In the wet (for what this bike is capable of), it has excellent traction. When I bought it, I had Avon tires on it, and it slid all over the place. br>br>When you're in a tight corner, these tires hold your line and really help you brake. Most importantly, I now have more faith in my bike.
In Texas, I commute on the highway about 1200 miles per month. My motorcycle is a Yamaha Raider from 2009. In all weather conditions, the 240 corners, stops, and accelerates significantly better than the stock 210 Metzlers.
My 2007 V Rod was in desperate need of new tires. And this tire arrived much sooner than expected, which was a pleasant surprise given that I was still waiting for the front tire, which I needed for a trip I was leaving in a day. As a result, I'll have to wait until after my trip to get them thrown in. I'm hoping it doesn't rain because otherwise it'll be more like surfing. br>br>I can't wait to take the Dunlops off my bike and replace them with these. It'll be the difference between life and death. br>br>I'll post some photos once I get them up.
Prior to this, I had a scorcher 11 on my bike, and I am very pleased with the traction so far; hopefully, the final time will be good as well.
I have Prime, and things usually arrive in two or three days once they've been shipped, though it could take up to a week for them to actually mail it. The moment I clicked "buy now," these guys must have handed it over to the UPS guy. I'm very pleased. I would strongly suggest it.
This is my second purchase of this tire; the first lasted three seasons of riding and the previous one was only good for four months. From now on, I'll only purchase this brand of bike.
I've only had it for a few weeks, so I can't comment on mileage or durability. The performance, on the other hand, is outstanding. Long, sweeping turns are the best. In almost any condition, a good driver will stay on the road.
