Is there a set of 4 spacers?

Yes, this is a complete kit with 4 nuts and 4 spacers

Could you tell me if it's okay to extend just about half the original stud into the new lug?

It was only about 3/4" shy of filling the lug nuts, so I think half way is too much. A longer set of studs may be necessary.
