As a result, your tire size denotes a width of 4 inches from the outside to the outside of the tire. The sidewalls' maximum inflated air pressure would be 10 inches. Let's say your tire's size is printed on the sidewall, as it is on most tires, and yours is "4". 10x3. 50- This means you've got a 4-inch tire. You have a tread that is 3 inches wide at its widest point, and it is 10 inches wide at its widest point. Surface contact is 50 inches, and the rim is 6 inches across from lip to lip. So, yes, these chains will fit on your tires. Before you buy, keep in mind that there are probably heavier duty chains available, but they will cost more; however, as I previously stated, these chains are a good value. You should be able to use them for several years. Tom W., best of luck.
The chain FITS a Snow Blower Tire, not a TRUCK, as your 2015 Ford Explorer is.
I doubt you'll be able to get them tight enough to stay on the tire; the air in the tire allows the chains to slide into it for a better fit.
My wheels are three in number. 00- They should fit a 4, but according to the specs, they should fit a 4. 10- The questions and answers should all make sense if you read them carefully. On my Craftsman snow thrower, they work perfectly. Without them, I'm not sure how I would have survived.

This winter has been unusual in that it has snowed before it has been freezing rain. I made the decision to purchase these chains. What a difference they make! It was 21 years ago that I should have purchased them! To get to my mail box, I have to snow blow a path down and up the hill. These chains allow me to go over the curb, turn around, and return up and over the curb to reach my main sidewalk. I have a 4 inch tire. To pull the chains tight, the instructions said to hook the connecting links to the same number of links on both the inside and outside of the tire, but I went with the second link on the inside and the third link on the outside. I had no problems after using the chains- They didn't budge from their original positions. Different types of tires, different requirements? In the end, these are a fantastic purchase!.
Chain that is thicker and lasts longer! I'd suggest it.
The chains are well-made, though they were difficult to put on. They were too tight, and following the instructions made it difficult to secure them. Here's a great tip for making installation simple and tidy. I used a bolt cutter to remove the flopping end links. I then went to Home Depot and purchased the correct size turnbuckles ($1). 60 each) and used those to attach the chains to the tires. It went quickly and without difficulty. The turnbuckles are very secure after they've been tightened, and the chains are tight and tidy. I believe you will enjoy using turnbuckles.
1x3. They're 5x6 inches and they're just right. They were simple to install and did not require deflation of the tires. The installation time for each chain was less than 5 minutes. I haven't used the snowblower since it was installed, but I'm confident it will perform admirably.
Remove the tire, as suggested by others. Allow all of the air to escape. As you can see, I installed a vise. Using pliers or whatever you have on hand, attach the links. I finished the job with zip ties to tighten them up, pumped up the tires (mine were 24lbs) and put them back on the machine; this is best done with clean tires and not in your wife's kitchen (:.
With only minor adjustments, these chains fit my snow blower tires. (Carlisle, number 4) 10x3. 50 4HNS). They were excessively long, so three crosslinks had to be removed. The chains were cut to length and installed on a deflated tire, which fit snugly once the tire was filled to the proper pressure. These chains are a sure bet. They are extremely effective.
It does exactly what it's supposed to do: it fits snugly around the tire and gives you a lot more traction on packed or icy snow. One word of warning: if you use it on pavers, it will leave a mark on them.
The chains arrived just in time for the last 10 inches of snow we received. It was a great idea to have them installed. My only regret was that they were a little short, and despite the fact that they were rated to be the correct size for the tires on my machine, I had to deflate the tires to soften/reduce tire size, struggle with two vise grips to barely "make it happen," and then re-inflate the tires. fill the tires with air, and then turn them on. only just- Where the ends meet, it appears as if one cross strap is missing. With the missing cross strap, the ride would be quite bumpy if this were a road vehicle. They work well in the snow as it is, but they could have been 2-dimensional. It would be great if it were 3 inches longer and had one more cross strap.
