Excellent value for money! My old Snapper snowblower was in desperate need of new chains. The diameter of the tires is four. 80- 00". I noticed a lot of questions about size, incorrect size, and so on, so I attached photos of what I received from Amazon and how it fit. I purchased the John Deere AM33241 OakTen set (4. 8X4. 00- Chains are number eight. Part number 33 was delivered to me. I laid out the chains and counted how many there were. There are 16 instead of 13 chains. This is the same number as the previous set of chains. There was a cross-reference in every second link. links in a chain I followed the instructions and had 2 links of slack, which is perfect; I also left the tires a little low on pressure to help with the chains, which helped a little. It's easier to lock the chains with a medium set of pliers. The chains are on, tight, and ready to go at this point, but I noticed the rubber tightener (part number QG20030) and thought I'd try it. This made everything a lot more secure! Finally, I used two small zip-lock bags as a finishing touch. securing the inner and outer slack links on both tires with ties.
They are effective. br>On my steep driveway, the chains had a significant impact on the snowblower's performance. They aren't "easy" to install, but that's the nature of the beast, and deflating the tires makes a big difference. Reinflate the tires and install the chains as directed.
For my snowblower, I needed these. Excellent craftsmanship. Installing it was a breeze.
I installed the chains according to the instructions, and they fit perfectly. One chain cane came off first, followed by the other as we exited the garage into the snowy driveway.
