Because my spare is mounted on the side of the utility trailer, a rear-mounted spare on a travel trailer might yield a different result. I'm a little worried that it'll just blow off one day as I'm speeding down the road at 65 mph.
This was barely able to fit on a 205/75R15 trailer spare. It's actually a little too tight, making it difficult to put on completely.
I was initially pleased with this purchase because the cover was simple to install, looked good, and came at a reasonable price. Well, one day I was walking behind my Jeep and noticed the bottom of the tire cover dangling very low. . . can you imagine what you see when a toddler requires a diaper change, either full of or. 1 or 2. . . lol. . . I had to laugh, but seriously, consider how many other people are behind you. Making drain holes will almost certainly ruin or shorten the cover's life.
Because it was inexpensive, I bought it. Overall, the quality does not appear to be too poor. It was purchased to protect a spare tire on my roof rack. So far, it's made it through some heavy snow and daily trips up and down the freeway with no problems. For the money, I can't complain.
My Nash 17K has a diameter of 27 inches. br>The cover is made in such a way that it would be a perfect fit for tires smaller than mine as well.
Our spare tire in our horse trailer was covered with this. Because the spare tire is inside the trailer, it fits nicely over it and should hold up well. I'm not sure how well it would fare in the sun and in the elements.
Despite Amazon's assurances, it did not fit my tire. I came off twice at the car wash, and the second time I said, "Forget it!" " Because there is no drawstring to keep it in place, it has the appearance of a saggy diaper at the bottom. " I had to tuck it in behind the tire over and over.
On my boat trailer, I used it as a spare tire cover. It's a good fit, and I don't think it'll blow away in the wind. 215/75x14 is the size of the spare tire on the trailer. For the money, this is a good product. Because it's made of PVC, it's difficult to say how long it'll last, but it appears to be fairly durable.
