The magnet below has a diameter of 2 1/2" and a depth of 1/2".
Not in the least.
This is an excellent question. However, as long as the electronic device in question isn't within a foot of the dish, it should be fine; I use these to work on laptops, which are usually disassembled when this is present. Never work near a unit that is running and has a rotating magnetic disk drive, as this could cause serious problems.
Yes, there is a magnet on the bottom. The tray is very useful. I used it to work on my car and found it to be very useful. I was able to keep track of every single one of my screws.

I wanted to use it for paperclips in my office, but I'm also trying to conceive. TOUCHING EVERY DAY IS NOT WHAT I WANT TO DO.
I wish I'd known before I bought something. If I had known it could be harmful, I would not have purchased it. br>Though it's only $5, I'm thinking about returning it to Amazon. No harm, no foul; just a heads-up for you all.
The item comes with the cheapest sticker imaginable, which does not remove cleanly, leaving half of the sticker and residue behind. A warning label on the item states that it contains lead and that you should wash your hands after handling it. This is complete nonsense.
Just a heads up for any computer hobbyists under the age of 35: Do not use one of these near a hard disk drive (HDD) with a spinning disk! When it comes to building their own gaming rigs, most people opt for an SSD for the operating system and a high-end graphics card. You might be tempted to slap these trays onto the steel side panel of your rig to keep them out of the way when not in use for your Steam/GoG collection, but DON'T DO IT. It's much better to attach these trays to a metal tool chest or filing cabinet if you have one. These magnetic parts trays are not weak, and they will destroy your hard drive, especially if it is in use. You may have some logo magnets on your rig without issue, but those thin printed magnets are too weak to affect the components inside. br>br>Also, keep them away from your "ironic" retro music collection on cassette tapes and your Grandma's beloved complete Elvis movie collection on VHS.
This one appealed to me because it was made in Taiwan. Made in China, to be precise. If all other factors were equal, I would choose Taiwan over China for a product. On the surface, it appears to be gleaming, but underneath it reveals typical Chinese shoddy workmanship. It doesn't seem to make a difference. It's only about the principle. And good luck trying to remove the Titan sticker!.
What makes a small magnetic tray a "life saver?" Have you ever seen those tiny plastic packages with a hundred wire nails in them? The teeny-tiny inch long kind, with the package that has a habit of randomly flipping over, dumping all hundred nails all over the floor and causing a great deal of distress? Yeah. br>br>The magnet on this tray was strong enough that I could simply wave it upside-down a quarter inch off the floor and it would pick up Everything. Single. Nail. It had a magical quality. br>br>If you're looking for a low-cost option, look no further. This tray has also performed admirably in dramatic situations. I was able to put all those fiddly little computer case screws that have a habit of disappearing in the middle of a project when I was building a computer. construct it and secure it to the side of a large wire rack unit When you don't have to worry about losing a nut or screw off the side of your work surface, DIY and Ikea furniture go together much faster, and if you're in a situation where you need to change screwdriver bits, drill bits, or sockets multiple times for a single project, having them all on hand without fear of losing anything is invaluable. Very good. br>br>Sturdy and well-made. br>br> put- Excellent value for money when purchased as a package. If you've ever considered purchasing one of these items, this one is well worth your time.
Okay, after reading the reviews, I thought to myself, "People will complain about anything if they can complain about a lil old sticker!" " I'm not sure what kind of adhesive they use to stick the sticker on, but they should patent it and call it Miracle Glue!" There is, however, a simple solution. fluid for lighters I use cigarette lighter fluid, but I suppose the kind used to light charcoal grilling briquettes would also work. Simply soak the sticker in water and it will come off in seconds. Wipe the residue away with a paper towel. If you need to reapply, do so. Goo Gone is also effective. Aside from that, it's a solid, magnetic parts tray. I would purchase this product again. However, the lighter fluid is already in my possession. LOL.
I bought this tray specifically to hold screws while putting together two home computer gaming rigs. The heft of this tray, as well as the magnet's strength, astounded me. The screws magnetized after being left in the tray for a short time, allowing them to stay on the screw driver's end, which was a nice bonus. br>br>Since building the PC, I've used this tray several times when putting together anything that has small screws or metal parts that can get lost during assembly. I'm not sure why I didn't get one of these sooner, given how much I've put together over the course of my 60 years. br>br>This is a very useful tray, and it is well constructed. At this price, it's an excellent buy.
