Magnets had an impact on old hard drives (really old hard drives) and CRT monitors. In fact, HDDs contain extremely powerful magnets. Magnets may affect cables and wires, but the majority of cords will be safe. Just don't put it on your motherboard; I built my own computer, and this is how I keep all the tiny screws together whenever I need to work on it.
OD nominally 6" (150mm); 4 " (100mm) ID If the interior of the dish is 3/4" (20mm), the depth will be 3/4" (20mm). The magnetic base adds 1 1/4" (32mm) to the overall height of the piece. The magnet in the dish is extremely strong, and I find it to be very useful.
There is no power source. It's a metal dish with a magnet attached to the bottom.

This lovely lady assists me with ranch repairs and preventative maintenance. It's perfect for securing to your vehicle in the field and then dumping parts into. While we're working in the fields, it'll stick to the side of the equipment and hold pins. There will be no more misplaced hitch pins. It aids in the organization of my screws and bolts. This is a fantastic product that has been meticulously constructed.
As someone who enjoys building and tinkering with computers but is still on a budget that necessitates the use of ikea-style furniture, This has been a lifesaver in terms of esthetic furniture. I don't have to worry about losing my screws or knocking something over because I can just toss them in here and it will catch them. br>br>I think the best part is that when I'm not using it (or even when I am, if I'm close by), I can just stick it to the legs of my desk and it's out of the way. I'll most likely buy some for friends who don't have them, because this has completely transformed my workflow.
or two! With the low price, I figured I couldn't go wrong, so I bought two of them. I'm glad I did because I rely on them frequently. Not only do they hold on to whatever screws, bolts, washers, and other items I put in them, but the fact that I can mount the whole thing on something metal is a huge plus. They "dwell" on the open lid of my toolbox, where they are always accessible. When you put something metal in the dish, the magnet is quite strong, and it won't move unless you tell it to. It's a fantastic concept that's been executed flawlessly. Simply go ahead and purchase it.
br>br>On the bottom of the tray is a thick raised rubber disk that provides stability and prevents the tray from scooting on the concrete floor. This is a fantastic feature. I was worried the dish wouldn't be big enough, but it's only six inches long, so it's plenty big enough to hold a lot of screws and bolts, as well as a few sockets. Trying to keep track of small washers is a nightmare. They're the same color as concrete. br>br>I'd have to say that this is one of the most brilliant inventions since the invention of sliced bread. Heavy, high-quality materials and excellent craftsmanship. This would also be a great little dish to keep in my junk drawer to catch all of the stray items. Bullets, ball bearings, and other similar items.
I don't have to continually reach over. I bought it to use in my quilting. Quilting is what it is called. I have magnetic pin holders, but they aren't magnetic on the bottom, so I can't use them to sit on top of my metal longarm quilting frame rollers. The inside and outside of this bowl are both magnetized. While I pin a quilt, it sits on top of my rollers and glides along with ease. I don't have to keep reaching over to find my pins because they're right next to me. My rollers have a canvas that is wrapped around the rod in multiple layers, and this bowl holds up through all of them. I never have to worry about it falling off because it will not fall or spill my pins even if it tips or isn't exactly on the top of the roller. This product appeals to me greatly.
This tray was crucial in keeping all of the necessary screws and magnetics organized and secure while I was building my computer. The tray is well-made, but the only issue I have with it is how easily it scratches and becomes dirty. There were scratches and smudges all over the place after only a few uses over a couple of hours. Will update as time goes on; I expect these issues to be cosmetic rather than structural. Seems a little pricey for just a magnetic tray, but that's the price you pay for high-quality parts.
Without one of these, I don't know how I ever managed to work. When I went to get supplies for my snow blower, I came across one. I'm sold after just one use! However, this is not the product for you if you enjoy crawling around on the garage floor looking for that missing bolt! Why hadn't someone forced me to get one of these a long time ago?.
Around the, I'm always working on new projects. This is an excellent item. I'm always working on home projects that require a variety of screw types and sizes. This magnetic tray is exactly what I've been looking for. The base is a wide, solid magnet that won't easily spill or fall over, and even if it does, your screws will be secure and won't fall out. The bottom magnet is also extremely powerful. When not in use, I store it on the side of my tool chest, where it is held in place by a powerful magnetic connection. I even keep unused and miscellaneous screws in the tray, which I hang vertically on the side of the tool chest. br>br>If you ever lose track of screws or small parts for whatever project you're working on, this is the tray for you. I was inspired to purchase this after seeing a DIY version on Lifehacker. However, it's a far better product than duct taping a speaker magnet to a bowl for around $8.
